Tell you what HAL, why don't you have a rummage about online and see if you can't find some evidence of me and life-threatening pastimes - I'm sure there's some out there (*sniggers*)

Or now that LM's expressed her disapproval on the subject of stalking, wouldn't that be allowed?

And I thought the bucket list was for things you'd like to do, not, not do!

I am at a loss as to what you could be getting at here. However, for the record, I do not believe I expressed disapproval on the subject of stalking. I contributed to LE's stalking thread giving my experience of being stalked at the age of 16. I did so because I wished to make the point that I did not find stalking/stalkers funny. This is very different to expressing disapproval on the subject. And please, be clear, I have absolutely no objection to LE's thread.

Apologies if this is a little base.....but I've always wanted a wild all nighter with two naked 20 something women in a 5 star suite, complete with jacuzzi, Stones on the stereo and chilled Dom Perignon on tap.

And yes, I reckon I'm still young enough to get away with that without it sounding creepy.

I logged in today at 5pm so missed whatever you wrote earlier.

You posted asking for opinions about a particular, easily identifiable eBay transaction. I don't feel I did anything wrong to look up that transaction - anyone could have done so. If that made you uncomfortable, I apologise.

If my sense of humour has offended you, I apologise for that too.

For what it's worth HAL9000, I don't believe you did anything wrong either.

And I am sure some probably did...only minus the subsequent openness and sincerity of expression.

Well, I'm really going for it...may as well...concentrate on being alive - as a dear forumite (you know who you are) recently suggested to me. Fortunately, as I already have the hubby of my dreams and some pretty amazing friends...I am in a good position to ask for lots of other stuff. So, being a greedy wotsit:

- see my friend Fran's breast cancer fully clear so that she may live a full and healthy life

- ditto my friend Verena who is currently in remission with myeloid leukaemia

- and also (gosh this certainly helps to put things into perspective) my friend Joan - also in remission with bone cancer

- see my sweet little niece Louise recover quickly from having been knocked down by a speeding car yesterday

- watch my nieces and nephews grow into happy and healthy adults and hope they will always call me Aunty Mimi

- hope that my brother's business expands so that life isn't quite as financially challenging as now

- hope that my sister can give up the booze before it kills her

- hope that hubby gets the job of his dreams

- ditto another forum buddy (I hope you know who you are)

- hope that, yet another forum-friend, achieves the "domestic bliss" he so desperately wishes

- hope that M's divorce is as painless as possible and that she finds happiness with a new partner quickly

- hope that the gap between rich and poor closes world-wide

- spend at least one month in Antartica and drink in its beauty

- learn how to swim in deep water

- learn Mandarin

- learn how to fish

- swim in a clean river and/or lake

- swim/play naked in the sea with hubby on a deserted beach

- see a puffin

- play in a women's football team and end up beating West Ham in the FA Cup final (just for you ????!);-)

    • Surprise, surprise. It didn't take them long, did it. This will be something of a test as to how much the council really care about parks and the environment. A footfall of 60,000. Are they mad? There is no way this park is designed for or can sustain that sort of use. Just had a look at the schedule. If allowed to go ahead, this will involve a large slice of the park (not the common) sectioned off and out of use for three weeks of May and the first week of June. Here's an idea, why not trial the festival in one of the other Southwark Parks, so the 'goodness' can be shared around the borough?
    • There was another unprovoked attack on Monday this week on a young woman nearby (Anstey Road) at 6.45pm. Don't have any other details, it was posted on a Facebook group by her flatmate. Pretty worrying  https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1EGfDrCAST/
    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.
