Well, there is no kind way of saying this, but having seen here a few times of late in real life.... There is nothing wrong with the way she looks, but she does look her age. (as does Madonna based on what I saw at Live Earth)

A true local would know that the Lane refers to Rye Lane in Peckham, and always has done. I've never heard of a cafe going back that name on LL though?

The Lane Cafe is near the police station. It used to have the much better name "Top Nosh"

Perhaps she was talking about Rye Lane? An elderly neighbour of mine who'd lived in ED all her life used to talk about going down 'the Lane' when she meant Rye Lane as that's where all the 'quality' shops used to be? Just a thought... Lordship Lane as 'the Lane' sounds far too pretentious and it's such a landmark and good starting point for giving directions. Just a thought...

lordship lane does get confused with east dulwich road,many a times we have received post for east dulwich road,and when people come into Ed they always ask the LL natives about places on Ed road tinking they are on Ed road????Although LL is not that clearly marked from either the goose green end or the harvester end
