I didn't even realise it was UK Mother's Day this weekend! It's already Sunday afternoon here in NZ, and it's not Mother's Day here till May, so looks like I'll be missing out this year (hubby is in London, and I doubt he will remember, and kiddies aren't old enough to arrange something by themselves!) :(

Have a lovely day all x

I'm sure you can have a belated Mother's day when you get back Pickle - every Mum deserves this deffo!

Says me up before 7am with the girls while OH has a lie-in...hmmmmmm

(Mind you he was up all night with littlest, and there's a mysterious bowl of pancake batter in the fridge - so it's all good!)

Happy Mother's day everyone! And to my old Ma who's 'up there somewhere' - I still think about you Mum!

@ ryedalema, I say the same thing about my Dad every fathers day :(

Happy mothers day, EDF Mums! You're all hilarious and lovely. Last night, The Night Owl slept through for the first time but has just thrown up all over himself...still, swings and roundabouts!

Have a great day, Mummies! xxx

We had a wonderful 3-generational day - so lovely to be able to celebrate being a mother and a daughter at the same time - my thoughts with people who are no longer able to say 'thank you so much' to their mothers.

And hurrah re: babySB sleeping through - I'm sure you would have heard him if he had wanted you to!

I know I should be elated....but daytime sleep dreadful and stressful, baby tired and grizzly all day, full of stomach churning anxiety whenever baby cries and I'm not sleeping now! I almost think we were happier the way things were! One melodrama after another in the snowboarding household, eh?!?

    • Nope that is boring,  I want something creative.  Maybe turn them into Xmas cards.  I understand from those daytime television programmes that don't involve buying houses, DIY, antiques, bargain hunting and the second World War that this is called 'upcycling'. AI suggests: Upcycling old cheque books can involve repurposing the paper from old checks into creative items like notebooks, journals, art pieces, gift tags, bookmarks, decorative paper, or even small boxes, by cutting, decorating, and assembling the paper to create new functional or decorative objects, while ensuring any personal banking information is properly obscured or removed.
