Not that I am superstitious or anything (caresses lucky rabbit foot as he types) but Friday 13th is going well for me so far

Got woken at 4am by a recovery truck picking up a crash damaged Addison and Lee taxi (why do these recovery trucks make so much noise running their engines in the middle of the night?)

Made myself a cup of tea this morning only to discover my favourite mug has cracked and more tea is outside me than in me

I am now scared of eating those delicious English strawberries I bought yesterday In case I find a new friend inside one.

How is everyone else's luck today ?

That's not related to the date, that's the lords of ED punishing you for shopping outside of lordship lane 😳

Ha ha TheArtfulDogger. You know, sometimes, the best thing you can do in this life is go shopping where your heart tells you is best to go. I miss Iceland, there I've said it. I miss it a lot. I'm not being an inverse snob here telling everyone they can't buy organic kale from a caravan parked on goose green, no!!!!! I'm just saying, sometimes there's nothing wrong with wanting a ready meal from your local shop. But now all we have is the co-op. It's annoying I won't lie it's bloody making me furious even now.. But I don't care anymore. So, maybe Jesus is punishing me for going to asda in charlton rather than one of the fine estate agents along the lane, you know what who cares!!!! Ha. Happy Friday one and all.

Louisa.

And thus begins the next chapter in advertising for Iceland, Peter has been dropped in favour of

a actress is quoted as saying 'I can buy all this delicious frozen veg and pass it off as organic kale from bobbys van because by time it's defrosted no one will know the difference' followed by the voice over stating "that's why Louisa slums at Iceland"

    • Thanks penguin  always wondered about that place and that’s way more info than I ever thought I would get  (used to live above a gun nut on friern road - he would tell me nothing)
    • There was a Saturday afternoon crowd of enthusiasts, and at other times the owner might have been off acquiring stock. He also repaired air guns, which he also sold. He stocked edged weapons, uniforms, including antique uniforms, air guns and ammo and starting pistols and shot. Some medals and other militaria. Quite a lot of ex service chit chat on a Saturday. I had an amateur interest, didn't deal a lot, in English pattern swords and other mainly 19th century militaria. And made some good purchases there. I'm afraid WWII and later events was the major focus of most of the regulars.
    • Did anyone actually venture in to that place? I recall it always being closed/very uninviting!
