LM they have outlets all over London! Granted they aren't a major concern, but they're probably one of only a limited number of firms who can actually afford the rent these days. So we get yet another pizza place (which already delivers to the neighborhood), and still we don't have a Mexican restaurant in sight. I hate this food type with a passion.

The staff in Caf? Noodle were lovely..

They told me back in 2015 they were going due to being priced out. Rent hike.. ??

Shame as the were an alternative to Mr. Liu.. both of which a couple of minutes walk to my gaff.

Caf? Noodle started closing at 10.30 so no good for late night post pub nosh..

"Change of use from restaurant use (Use Class A3) to a mixed (Use Class A3/A5) take away pizza unit" according to the planning application.

Loopy Lou is banned from the main section, so until she gets banned from this section for clogging it up, we've got to put up with her bollox...

Don't worry, I've got a nice, big, juicy whopper in my bait box, that's just primed for Loopy to sink her dentures in to it.

Did you know that fishermen, often before putting a maggot on their hook, pop it into their mouth to warm it up, apparently this makes it wriggle more, and therefore more likely to attract a passing predator. I hear Mr Loopy has recently taken up fishing...

I love this so much! It's almost a summary of everything I ever think about this topic.

    • This is where I sit too. A two day event is bearable. Three tests my tolerance. Finding the right balance on size, noise and impact is where I contribute to the consultation process. BUT, as I wrote elsewhere, every year the GALA organisers ask/ push for more, and deals have already been done with the council before it gets to public consultation stage. It is also worth pointing out that when a licence was first granted, the orgnaisation was different (We Are the Fair), one of the company directors lived literally next to the park (she left when it became GALA) and the current form bears no resemblance to original ethos/ vision sold to the council and licensing committee. This needs to be pointed out and I am fairly confident local councillors would also support a pushback on any further expansion. We have local elections next year, so councillors ears will be open.

    • Not really sure why SE22 is getting upset about Brockwell Park.  I expect more people around here attend the festivals than are inconvenienced by it.  But it supports my view that many like to complain even when not directly affected. Football grounds move.  Attendances change.  Demographic too,not old blokes in flat caps or boys in short trousers with rattles.  Arsenal attendances at the Emirates are over twice what they were in the late 80s at Highbury.  Much more disruption in N1 nowadays.  DHFC tripples what they were 15 years ago, but good news is much quieter than the past.
