Hi,

My first little one is due on 5 February - very excited!

Very keen to meet up and will join the Facebook group. Not sure we can make this sat, but keen for the next catch up.

Is anyone doing nct in dulwich village starting on 17 December?

Hi ladies, it's been a while since I have last been on here and it's great to see that so many more people have joined in the meantime.

I can't make this Saturday but am definitely keen to meet some of you as I am one of the first of my friends to have a baby and whilst I am really excited, I am also very nervous and it would be so nice to have someone to talk to who is going through the same thing. It's really starting to hit home that I am going to be a mum in January and how much it is going to change my life.

I am pretty sure I am the only one on here who lives in Herne Hill but if anyone else has signed up for the NCT class in Herne Hill, please let me know.

Just popping in to say hi. I'm Jo, I live in Peckham and I'm due with my 3rd at the end of Feb - eek 3 under 5!

I made some great friends through these groups the first 2 times around and home to find some more maternity leave buddies this time.

With work, exhaustion and 2 monkeys I might not make a meet up for a while, but definitely keen to.

Jo

A bit of a late comer here! Also expecting my second, due end of Nov so a bit on the cusp (seems there are lots of dec/jan babies in this group so seemed a better fit!). My son is just over two and we are in east Dulwich. We met some lovely ladies through the summer babies 2014 group (Balbina & Debbie!) and looking forward to meeting new mums with no.2!

Donatella - I've asked to join the fb group today but thought I should follow up here so you know I'm not some random ;)

Hope we get to meet some of you soon,

Sally

Hi all

I'm due 8 Feb 2017 and live in honor oak (just past peckham rye). It's my first and I'm signed up to the NCT class on Barry Road in Dec 2016. I've just requested to join the FB group and, like Sally, am posting here so you know I'm not a random!! Keen to meet up and get to know you!

Victoria

Hi all,

I'm straddling the autumn/winter groups as am due Nov 19th but hoping to also join the facebook group (just sent a request)

I live on Heber Road in ED and this will be my 3rd, we already have 2 year old twins so looking forward to a crazy time with 3 under 3!! Would be lovely to meet some local mums to hang out with over this mat leave as I'm the only one from my first NCT group who's braving it again so soon. Finishing work in 3 weeks time so will be free for meet ups whenever :-)

Kirsty

Late joiner as well. New to the area, have a very active 2 yo boy, expecting twin girls in Dec (though likely they will be here sooner). Have not quite worked out if where we are falls under East or West Dulwich... Would love to meet other local mums while on maternity leave. Have also asked to join the fb group. Marinda

Hi all, I'm due December 18th with my second boy, living in Herne Hill, I've been meaning to join this group for ages after a friend recommended it. I'd love to meet some local mums to share coffee and cake with over maternity (a few wines would be a bonus!). I'm hoping to make it to the Lordship tomorrow after seeing this post and I've just asked to join the facebook group. Really look forward to meeting you all! Jade :)

Hello all. Delighted to see a group set up specifically for the thing that occupies increasing amounts of my waking thoughts at the moment!

I am expecting a girl on 6th January at Kings and would love to meet other new mothers in the area- both before baby and after.

Will go ahead and join Facebook group as it looks like that's where the action is!

Lucy

Hi Lucy

Welcome to the club! I am due on 5th Jan at at Kings so might bump into each other! :0)

Just started NCT class last Sat on Barry Road, I think a couple of you from this group were there as well! See you again next week! I look forward to meeting more of the 'soon to be mums' as well.

Fani

Hello!

I'm a bit of a latecomer, and based in Camberwell, but hoping to join in and meet some local Mums to share tea, cake (and gin) with. Already have a very active 2 year old girl, and expecting another girl on January 14th.

Will try to join the Facebook group as it seems that might be where the action is!

Jane

Hi all,

Yet another latecomer having just found out about this group! I'm due with our first little girl on 23rd Feb - and the last 4 weeks of work are dragging by horribly! I'm ED based, and will also join the Facebook group, if I may, to keep an eye out on any meet ups over the next little while.

Very best,

Hi All

I hope you don't mine me jumping on this thread.

I am a local mum and am working to launch the bubble babysitting app in SE London after we have launched successfully in North and SW London.

In a nutshell bubble was setup by parents ? to help other Mums and Dads book the babysitters that their friends, family and communities love and trust.

bubble uses social (Facebook and your own phone contacts)?and community data (e.g. the schools and nurseries?you belong to) to connect parents with the brilliant babysitters in their existing trusted networks. bubble can show you for example,?if a parent from school?or perhaps a friend on Facebook?has used and rated a babysitter, giving you the confidence to go ahead and book.

The bubble app is extremely easy to use, and as well as the above, local parents are increasingly turning to bubble because:

?

????????Every babysitter on the app is ID and Background Checked

????????They can read reviews on the sitter from other local parents

????????They can book and pay the sitter the exact price through the app

????????It?s a cheaper and more flexible solution then typical childcare agencies.

????????It?s brilliant for ad-hoc and late notice requirements

We are currently offering local parents ?20 off their first sit if you download the app here https://o4y5.app.link/7gMtxr9XMD and use referral code CBVPH when you sign up

Some press coverage the app got in its launch last year.

    • Hi, oglander , Congratulations on your soon-to-arrive little lion - how exciting! It's always lovely to hear someone taking the adoption route (shelters are having a major crisis at the moment!). I've been in business for 15 years & can say with certainty that most cat owners in Dulwich have catflaps so, not only are they easy to have installed, but you shouldn't find yourself short of helping hands on these local forums. A catflap is a brilliant way to keep your little lion safely in overnight as well as generally keeping track of their comings & goings. I'd be happy to walk you through the set up once you've chosen your model (SureFlap & PetSafe are two popular brands). I'm sure the rescue has already advised, but just in case they haven't, it'll be very important to keep your newly adopted cat housebound for the first 2 weeks to familiarise themselves with their new home. Once they've scent-mapped the house, you can gradually begin letting them out to explore & scent-map the garden. Exciting times! x
    • Hello all,  If your child goes to this gym club: since the new payment system, have you received clear information about the cost per session, the cost per term and when sessions will be omitted eg for school opened days? (I have asked the club, more than once, no full response so far) This term started in late August, before school had gone back (did many attend that session?). Next term there is no break for half term, so there are 12 sessions to be paid. Does that seem to be more sessions than there used to be?    I am sure they are doing their best, but the info from the new auto pay system isn’t detailed enough, and the auto pay just takes an unspecified amount. I wondered if it’s just me (wanting more detail), or if there are others too? (my child loves the gym itself!) thanks
    • ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Excellent service! We had one of Paul Edgley’ s team come to fit some new lights in our living room. They were able to come at reasonably short notice, arrived on time, were friendly and professional, and did a great job. Everything was left clean and tidy afterwards, and the lights look fantastic. Highly recommend! Paul’s contact details are 07802 627967
