miga
Almodovar's films are quite beautiful, Volver, Talk to Her, All about my mother, and as a bonus made around the right time frame for what OP was after. I find his earlier ones a bit more difficult to digest, he's smoothed out the edges over time. Azalea
👍 to Almodavar. The Spanish series Locked Up, on Channel 4, Walter Presents is worth watching. LondonMix
Volver is my favourite Almovodar film though I like them all. Women on the Verge of a Nervous Breakdown shouldn't be left off a list of his best work. ED209
Oh yes, and to add a classic movie recommend. Midnight Run (1988), One of the best road movies / 80s action comedies ever.De Niro being funny and still giving a stonking performance. KidKruger
Thunderbolt and Lightfoot is not a bad film if you like Clint and gangster-type films. From the 70s I think.
