Earl Aelfheah
I hope this means he'll stop being invited on to every political TV show and debate. Jules-and-Boo
There are likely undercurrents of secret plans - across all parties.I'm waiting for the Iraq report to see how Blair slithers out of that! WorkingMummy
It's not the person of Farage I have a problem with. It's the whole ideology and movement he stands for.If they replace him with a less appealing (to your inner racist), beer guzzling, totally-faked-common-touch figure, then maybe I could care. Otherwise, meh. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/113306-farage-resigns/#findComment-1018758 Share on other sites

Jules-and-Boo
"totally-faked-common-touch figure".... oh the possibilities are endless! There's a few on the scrap heap as we speak - recently available - fitting that criteria... dirac
well he said something like, "oh I'd love to help other countries wanting to leave the EU as well". Wonder how much ??? he will make consulting with them, a shed load no doubt. The route into the Try cabinet is probably more likely though, given that he used to be involved with them before ukip. tomdhu
Give him his due. He started out 17 years ago with a virtually zero chance of success. He challenged the Brussels unelected elite. He exposed the facts - like the Brussels budget has not been signed off by the auditors for the last 20 years. He exposed the corruption and gravy-training that goes on in the EU.He achieved his stated aim.Aside from whatever political leanings we each may have, we owe him some respect. uncleglen
Yes- well done Nigel (Old Alleynian). He is now sort of redundant. For some Dulwich College educated ex-commodities traders represent an elite, for others it's Boris Johnson retreating to his country estate for the week-end following Brexit. For you it's politicians elected to Brussels via elections no one in this country could be bothered turning up to. > He exposed the facts - like the Brussels budget> has not been signed off by the auditors for the> last 20 years. That is not a fact, that is an interpretation. You can Google it if you don't believe me. uncleglen
'the brussels unelected elite' to me represents the unaccountable faceless bureaucrats that have made many lives a misery- and I would compare them to the party faithful in the old Soviet regime Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/113306-farage-resigns/#findComment-1018846 Share on other sites
