Had a problem with a leaking stopcock valve, which looked like it was getting worse with risk of water getting all over the kitchen - Danny and Aria responded very quickly, came back with the part and it was all fixed within a couple of hours of first contacting them. So I'd say our experience is very much in line with the other recommendations on here (some of which are clearly for more complex jobs). Would definitely use them again.

Just adding another recommendation for Aria, him and Ken have just re-done our bathroom for us and did a fantastic job.

Great to work with, Aria is a fantastic communicator, stopped in to check on everything and provide receipts etc, kept us constantly updated, they went and picked up the tiles for us which was a massive help too. Really fast and Ken was a dream to have in the house, we barely noticed him despite us both working from home at the moment. Fast work, great quality and great to work with.

Aria was very professional and was able to identify and fix the problem with ease. He explained what had happened and also pointed out other areas that I should know about when it came to preventing leaks should they occur such as turning off water supply etc. He also looked over my boiler quickly noticing that the water was not very hot. Very good service and I will be using him again!

AFE came to fix our taps (new valves). They came out the same day we rang and fixed everything quickly and to a high standard, and gave us a check of our central heating while they were here, all for a reasonable price. They are always friendly and we would definitely recommend.

Another recommendation for Aria. Requested his help with a tap we couldn't shut off. True to the reviews we had read on this forum Aria was extremely polite and clear on what he intended to do, when he intended to do it and what it would cost. In actual fact he returned ?20 to us as he finished the job quicker than he anticipated, which was appreciated.
Aria From AFE Plumbing services arrived within a couple of hours of my calling, and did an exceptional job locating the problem with a leaky pipe in my bathroom. He was efficient, thorough, very curtious and polite throughout and got the job done quickly tiding everything up perfectly before leaving. Fantastic service at a fair price. He also recommend me a boiler engineer and a plasterer that I'll be contacting shortly for more work in the near future.I can't recommend AFE Plumbing highly enough.

Yet another recommendation for Aria and his team.

Needed help with a constantly running toilet.

He was able to fit us in at a convenient time, gave us a clear quote and idea of what would probably be needed.

On the day Daniel and Jamie were polite and efficient, confirmed Aria's initial diagnosis, bought the parts and were done really quickly.

Aria later returned ?20 as the cost of the parts wasn't quite as much as anticipated - appreciated this honesty.

Excellent service from AFE Plumbing. Daniel replaced the leaky pipework under my kitchen sink and cleared all of the remaining pipes in the house just to be on the safe side. The communication was clear throughout and Daniel was professional and knowledgeable - would definitely use them again.

Another recommendation for Aria and his colleague David, I needed a new tap installed two radiators removed temporarily from the wall and a toilet re fixed to the floor. Aria was prompt providing me a quote, quote was reasonable and the date was fixed quickly. David arrived punctually , knew what the job was and completed all tasks efficiently and to a high standard. I went for Aria because of the recommendations on EDF and I am thrilled with the result!!

I would like to echo previous recommendations. The plumber fixed the flush in a short time, transparency around cost. They were punctual, polite and not messy. I also got a quote for something and else and so far I'm really impressed with their communications and reliability.

I can only recommend them

Great service from A.F.E. They fixed a leak from our toilet cistern. Access was difficult and they recommended we use a specialist tiler rather than chancing it themselves and risking damaging the tiles. Once the problem was identified they quickly sourced parts and fixed the issue. Pricing was fair and transparent and they were always friendly and happy to answer questions.

Would recommend.

Another satisfied customer. Aria saved the day for us.

Ordered a washing machine from John Lewis, paid for installation only for it to arrive and them refuse to install in a bathroom - apparently in their terms and conditions - BEWARE if buying from JLP.

Our neighbour gave us Aria's number - he came within an hour of contact and did a great job. Also followed up with a phone call to check everything was ok. We would strongly recommend him and his team.

If you're looking for a plumber Aria and his team are fantastic- I have used them twice for emergencies - today the service was exceptional - Aria took my call on the first ring and diverted his route within 1hr of me calling to help with an emergency (burst shower). Within 30mins they had solved the problem, had parts to fix for a temporary solution so we could have water still... abs provided a long term solution quickly which they will come back to complete. Honestly was relieved and shocked at how quickly they came to my rescue, solved and fixed the issue to allow us still to have water today. His number is below for those looking for plumbing services. He is local to Dulwich and Peckham.

Convened by The Hague Group and co-chaired by the governments of Colombia and South Africa, the Emergency Conference on Palestine brought together 30 states for two days of intensive deliberation — and emerged with a concrete, coordinated six-point plan to restrain Israel’s war machine and uphold international law. States took up the call from their host, Colombian President and Progressive International Council Member Gustavo Petro, who had urged them to be “protagonists together.” Twelve governments signed onto the measures immediately. The rest now have a deadline: 20 September 2025, on the eve of the United Nations General Assembly. The unprecedented six measures commit states to:     Prevent military and dual use exports to Israel.     Refuse Israeli weapons transfers at their ports.     Prevent vessels carrying weapons to Israel under their national flags.     Review all public contracts to prevent public institutions and funds from supporting Israel’s illegal occupation.     Pursue justice for international crimes.     Support universal jurisdiction to hold perpetrators accountable. “We came to Bogotá to make history — and we did,” said Colombian President Gustavo Petro. “Together, we have begun the work of ending the era of impunity. These measures show that we will no longer allow international law to be treated as optional, or Palestinian life as disposable.” The measures are not symbolic. They are grounded in binding obligations under international law — including the International Court of Justice’s July 2024 advisory opinion declaring Israel’s occupation unlawful, and September 2024’s UN General Assembly Resolution ES-10/24, which gave states a 12-month deadline to act. UN Special Rapporteur on the situation of human rights in the occupied Palestinian territory Francesca Albanese called them “a momentous step forward.” “The Hague Group was born to advance international law in an era of impunity,” said South Africa’s Foreign Minister, Ronald Lamola. “The measures adopted in Bogotá show that we are serious — and that coordinated state action is possible.” The response from Washington was swift — and revealing. In a threatening statement to journalists, a US State Department spokesperson accused The Hague Group of “seeking to isolate Israel” and warned that the US would “aggressively defend our interests, our military, and our allies, including Israel, from such coordinated legal and diplomatic” actions. But instead of deterring action, the threats have only clarified the stakes. In Bogotá, states did not flinch. They acted — and they invite the world to join them. The deadline for further states to take up the measures is now two months away. And with it, the pressure is mounting for governments across the world — from Brazil to Ireland, Chile to Spain — to match words with action. As Albanese said, “the clock is now ticking for states — from Europe to the Arab world and beyond — to join them.” This is not a moment to observe. It is a moment to act. Share the Joint Statement from Bogotá and popularise the six measures. Write to your elected representative and your government and demand they sign on before 20 September. History was made in Bogotá. Now, it’s up to all of us to ensure it becomes reality, that Palestinian life is not disposable and international law is not optional. The era of impunity is coming to an end. Palestine is not alone. In solidarity, The Progressive International Secretariat
    • Most countries charge for entry to museums and galleries, often a different rate for locals (tax payers) and foreign nationals. The National Gallery could do this, also places like the Museums in South Kensington, the British Library and other tax-funded institutions. Many cities abroad add a tourist tax to hotel bills. It means tourists help pay for public services.
