This has been posted on Streetlife site at the moment there is one picture of one of the dogs

I'm sorry to report that a white fiat transit van full of dogs has just been stolen from Glennie Road. The dog walker was collecting from our house when a man in a grey hoody ran down the road and stole the van with 5 dogs inside. It's a W reg and was driven off towards Leigham Court Road. Police are already out searching but please could everyone keep a look out.

If you see the following dogs please contact us:

Brown Coker spaniel

Teacup Yorkie

Black and White Cavapoo

Black and white greyhound

Brown cokerpoo

Please share this post as it is now public.

My friend's dog was stolen in a dog-walker's van with other dogs today - one of the dogs has now been found but Nina is still missing!

They were taken from Glennie Road in Streatham and the next sighting was on Bishopsthorpe Road in Sydenham. Two men were seen leaving one of the dogs on Bishopsthrope Road and so think they have been chucking them out between Streatham and Sydenham. There were five dogs taken, one has been found. Keep your eyes peeled in East Dulwich as Nina may make her way back to Goodrich Road. My friend moved house three weeks ago from East Dulwich to Sydenham so her instincts may be stronger to go back to the old house. x

Please keep your eyes peeled. She is really nervous and shy but can overcome her nerves if food is involved, especially cheese or meat. See attached pic.

Many thanks!

Justine

Should imagine dogs are all chipped which is good. Depending on where the dogs were dumped out of van, if they are near a park they know, they may well head to it or any green areas they know. Hope that all the poor little things are found safe. Please keep us updated and of course all us animal lovers will keep our ears and eyes open.

You can find more info on the SNARL website and or Facebook page

Long shot but this isn't her is it? (I'm after a rescue lurcher and when I saw this girls pic it reminded me strongly of the photo I've seen all over ED and Peckham today)

Crossing fingers for you X

As Lilly was found in swanley near the A20, can the dog owners contact vets and the council dog wardens in and around that area. I just think the poor souls have been let out of van one at a time and as toe rag seemed to have been heading to kent. I'm just thinking they may not be in this area. It's just devastating .Really hope they all are found safe. We all just have to hope and keep our ears and eyes open. I keep checking all the lost & found forums and gumtree. Fingers crossed.

Hello,

As I can't find any listing for the smallest dog by the owner, thought I'd post this here, especially as one was found in swanley. Could this be the little one, although it says not microchipped , sometimes if person scanning for chip isn't thorough the chip can be missed as they can move. I realise this dog was found in reading however as the scum were driving, no one knows where they drove to.

It is on animal search uk.

Hello Bonniebird, thanks re Facebook however I'm not on it. The little terrier is female, has a pink collar on. She is on animal search uk ref number AFP259414, found in reading 24/07, if you could put this on Facebook please as I don't know anything about Facebook. I just keep scanning online at all the lost and found sites and gumtree. I think about the dogs and owners everyday, it's heart wrenching. Again, re microchips, they do move and depending on person scanning, they can be missed, that's why I would never assume it's not her even though it says not chipped. Just hope they are found. Might try to work out Facebook as I'm sure it's handy for missing pets. Thx

    • It struck me last year that any dialogue with Gala themselves e.g. at the box-ticking "Community Engagement Sessions" is completely pointless, as they are just a business trying to do whatever is necessary to hold their event; the park is just a venue to them, a necessary facility, and they'll say anything to secure it. They don't care about it's welfare or upkeep, over and above making sure there's no complaints big enough to prevent them using it again. I've found that discussing issues with them has just led to them using that info to counteract that issue - effectively helping them strengthen their position. What I find frustrating is that the council, despite being the body that decides on this, and should be representing local residents, takes no active part in any discussions or presentations, so there's no way to engage with them apart from an online consultation which is clearly also a box ticking exercise, bearing in mind for the last two years the overwhelming majority (97% of respondents) objected to the event. Why are Gala running the community meetings? Why do Gala run the issue hotline? If the council really care about the park and the surrounding community, and still allow this type of event, they should be way more hands on with taking responsibility for it's running, not just handing it all over to a profit making company.  Sorry, probably tldr but so sad about the repeated negative impact on our (once beautiful & peaceful) park and just exasperated that there's so little that can be done to halt it. This is just the start, it WILL turn into another Brockwell Park, and Gala & the council just don't care.
    • We used these guys for our underfloor heating, their heating engineer Sam was excellent. Very reassuring and sorted it all out properly.
    • They’re convenient. They’re fun to ride. From ED, getting a Lime to Brixton and then jumping on the tube is probably the fastest way to get into central London. There’s a reason they’re  popular.
    • You must be a cynic as in a previous post you’ve asked someone to have a go on one of these monstrous lime bikes! Not everyone is able to walk, let alone ride a bike!
