  1. Really sorry to hear this. But this is not about a postcode - it happens everywhere because certain youths feel (know) they are untouchable, and having no police presence anywhere doesn't help at all.
  2. was in terroirs on sat. not bad - expensive and pretentious just like toastED was...Delicious but not enough of it. ...ended up in Franklins for an actual 2 course meal for the same price.
  3. Learned behaviour, maybe - Opposable thumbs def not. I'm not going to argue with the vet's view that the cats she saw could not have been mutilated by another predator. Having said that foxes do share some humans' love of killing for fun, as seen by their destruction of chickens. The sooner we stop feeding them, and making them reliant on us, the better. I'm so glad I don't have a cat. I'd be terrified to let it out and I feel so bad for anyone who loses their pet in this way.
  4. Vet - who'd seen some of the animals - on the radio this morning confirmed that it is nonsense and more likely a case of underfunding of police, and that they have not been able to find who is responsible and need to move on.
  5. Agree with Sue on Great Exhibition, though admittedly it was a while back. I think roasts are subjective and as they're so easy to do well yourself, it's the last thing I want to eat out. I don't know who would be able to eat a whole Pyro roast! Having said all of that the Palmerston is prob my favourite, though not pub prices.
  6. may need defrosting - prob working overtime.
  7. maybe a pic / vid of the car with number plate to pass onto 101?
  8. Totally agree with Worldwiser - this is precisely the sort of thing you are paying your solicitor to do and it is the most money you will ever spend on a single item so do it wisely. I got burned very, very badly when my ex of 7 years and I split up after I put the whole deposit down on 'our' first house. I lost an awful lot of money due to a useless solicitor, an overly-trusting heart, and a w**ker of a BF. Good luck though - exciting times! :)
  9. well done you. Then don't tell others they are pushing an agenda - it's happening, and it's vile.
  10. Middle aged white woman - on the road, in shops, my neighbour (called me a F**king white bitch for parking too close to her) do you want me to continue, RH?
  11. it needs a bit more than loud alarms, RH. But thanks for your input. As ever - evading the real matter at hand - may work in Norfolk. Would be shit all use in Croydon, love.
  12. brilliant. Just like car alarms?? natty01295 Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > How about a Small CCTV CAMERA?? > > Or a Garden Alarm ??
  13. errr - you just did. If she ain't got a crutch - what's the need for a massive car space which belongs to someone else? tash b Wrote: ------------------------------------------------------- > I?m the daughter of applepears, anyone who stops > me again will get told the same thing as that lady > 20 yrs ago when my children were little we never > had them spaces and even now when I have my > grandsons I can?t always get a space there but I > manage with them like I did 20 yrs ago, so please > yes stop me and moan and you will get told if you > can not manage then don?t have children.
  14. RendelHarris - have you ever been on the receiving end of racial abuse? It's pretty nasty. Your comment to Toffee was totally unwarranted, and trust me, as someone who has to put up with it every day I find it really offensive. It gets me down so much, that I'm thinking of moving out of London despite living in SE London all my life.
  15. Gosh, what rays of sunshine you pair are, Applepears and Tash b - daughter of Moaning-Bay-Stealing-Mother-on-a-crutch. My mum has Osteo-arthritis - pretty painful - and uses a stick, too. She'd never dream of taking a bay which - quite rightly - belonged to mums n babies. She certainly wouldn't have me drive her around threatening people who dare to challenge her.
  16. best place / value for shellac nails is Crystal Nails in SE19 - and you sit in a massage chair.
  17. This happens on a regular basis where I live, too (SE19). They wear scarves to cover their faces, and black out their number plates while doing wheelies and weaving in and out of the traffic and generally intimidating people. They're total idiots. I was advised to def call the police in future. But by the times you've pulled over, got through to the police they're long gone - and with no number plate?? They're untouchable and they know it.
  18. Def don't try it on your own get a price though. When I called a company, years ago (can't remember the name) the guy was there 20 mins or so. when I asked how much, he said "?50". Blimey, I said, I need to change professions. "OK" he said "we'll call it ?30".

  20. "We're one step closer to cracking the case {of a parked car, people!} with further intel" Oooh. do keep us posted...
