Darling Keef,

I have been buying sunnies for kids for years, from everywhere - John Lewis, Biff, the supermarket, acutely aware of the damage that the sun can do to children's eyes. We just discovered the best sunglasses for kids ever - they are Polaroid! My kids love wearing them and they tell me that there is a huge difference in these and all the ones they had before. I was recently asked to review Polaroids myself, and I wasn't keen because I perceived them to be really outdated, but they are actually the best sunglasses I have ever owned - and really stylish too.

They are anti-glare and block out all of the harmful UV rays.

Baby banz do ones that have a band instead of arms that goes around kids' faces. Worked on our one year old - aged 3 he has now progressed to Toy Story sunglasses and thinks he is incredibly cool.

We have an old pair of baby banz you could borrow to see whether you like it?

    • They’ve backed away from pretending they produce their own goods recently. That claim sat at the centre of the misdirection for years. They’ve now accepted they can’t sustain it, so they’re beginning to highlight the local independent bakeries whose products they actually sell. The business is essentially a courier model running on a slim margin.
    • Another sparrow hawk visor to our cherry tree at the weekend.  Our robin survived, but we may be a sparrow down.     any thoughts on bird feeders & bird baths with the current bird flu?  I try to wash out the bird bath most days when at home, but not on the 3 days in a row that I’m in the office & the bird feeders rather less regularly. Would it be better not to have at all (as my partner thinks)?
    • OOOPS. My daughter just had to pay a five pound fine. I hadn't put a stamp on it. I remember wondering whether to use a  first or second class stamp,  and clearly when I posted it I still hadn't decided (but sadly didn't notice). I feel really bad for suspecting a postie might have  opened it.  Sorry posties.
