Heaven knows I am no Chelski fan - and I confidently expect them to sink slowly down the table with their new "manager" - but that referee today was outrageous....talk about home team decisions! One duff sending off, one penalty award no visiting side would ever have beeen given,,,,etc etc

Oooh you missed out the Gooners there Annasfield, no bad thing though but here goes.

Arsenal 3 Newcastle 0

Blackpool 2 Southend 1

Burnley 1 Portsmouth 3

Luton 0 Charlton 1

Man City 3 Norwich 0

Reading 1 Liverpool 3

Sheff Utd 5 Morecombe 0

West Brom 3 Cardiff 2

Edited because as the good Ladygooner pointed out. No draws in the FA Cup. Could go to penalties mind.

Here are my predictions - your punishment for leaving Arsenal out Annasfield is a win for Reading!

Looking forwards to seeing our toddlers playing tonight!

Arsenal 2 Newcastle 0

Blackpool 3 Southend 1

Burnley 1 Portsmouth 2

Luton 0 Charlton 2

Man City 3 Norwich 1

Reading 2 Liverpool 1

Sheff Utd 1 Morecombe 0

West Brom 1 Cardiff 2

Arsenal 3 Newcastle 1

Blackpool 2 Southend 1

Burnley 2 Portsmouth 0

Luton 2 Charlton 2 - Charton win 4-3 on penalties

Man City 2 Norwich 1

Reading 1 Liverpool 0

Sheff Utd 1 Morecombe 0

West Brom 0 Cardiff 2

Apart from me Annasfield. Perhaps you'd like to redress the balance somewhat by predicting your scores and then persuade Keef to do the same.

I can't predict our score as I'd hate to jinx us - pathetic I know!

Arsenal 3 Newcastle 1

Reading Liverpool No comment! *fingers in ears, singing la, la, la, la, la* suspect it will go to pens though. Come on Pepe!!

Man City 2 Norwich 1

Blackpool 2 Southend 1

Burnley 0 Portsmouth 2

Luton 2 Charlton 1

Sheff Utd 1 Morecambe 0

West Brom 0 Cardiff 1

Yeah Keef - where are you? What do you reckon for tonight?

Also - did all the people that discuss the footy on here sit together in a corner at the forum ;-)

That's a couple of forecasts with Arsenal losing - y'all just haven't got the gist of what Wenger has done with this squad yet have you?

Arsenal 4 Newcastle 2

Reading 1 Liverpool 2

Man City 2 Norwich 1

Blackpool 1 Southend 1 pens to Sarfend

Burnley 0 Portsmouth 3

Luton 1 Charlton 3

Sheff Utd 2 Morecambe 1

West Brom 1 Cardiff 2

So I got one perfect score, 3 correct results and 2 wrong. Sorry busy as work today so no time to check others.

Nice to see our young ones do so well last night - have to say Newcastle were pretty uninspiring - and what was that strip they were wearing? Powder blue?!!

And for tonight.........

You going to WHL Jah?

Aston Villa 2 Leicester 1

Blackburn 2 Birmingham 3

Fulham 3 Bolton 1

Hull 1 Chelsea 0

Man Utd 0 Coventry 1

Sheff Wed 0 Everton 2

Tottenham 1 Middlesbrough 3

West Ham 2 Plymouth 0

    • Hey Sue, I was wrong - I don't think it would just be for foreign tourists. So yeah I assume that, if someone lives in Lewisham and wants to say the night in southwark, they'd pay a levy.  The hotels wouldn't need to vet anyone's address or passports - the levy is automatically added on top of the bill by every hotel / BnB / hostel and passed on to Southwark. So basically, you're paying an extra two quid a night, or whatever, to stay in this borough.  It's a great way to drive footfall... to the other London boroughs.  https://www.ukpropertyaccountants.co.uk/uk-tourist-tax-exploring-the-rise-of-visitor-levies-and-foreign-property-charges/
    • Pretty much, Sue, yeah. It's the perennial, knotty problem of imposing a tax and balancing that with the cost of collecting it.  The famous one was the dog licence - I think it was 37 1/2 pence when it was abolished, but the revenue didn't' come close to covering the administration costs. As much I'd love to have a Stasi patrolling the South Bank, looking for mullet haircuts, unshaven armpits, overly expressive hand movements and red Kicker shoes, I'm afraid your modern Continental is almost indistinguishable from your modern Londoner. That's Schengen for you. So you couldn't justify it from an ROI point of view, really. This scheme seems a pretty good idea, overall. It's not perfect, but it's cheap to implement and takes some tax burden off Southwark residents.   'The Man' has got wise to this. It's got bad juju now. If you're looking to rinse medium to large amounts of small denomination notes, there are far better ways. Please drop me a direct message if you'd like to discuss this matter further.   Kind Regards  Dave
    • "What's worse is that the perceived 20 billion black hole has increased to 30 billion in a year. Is there a risk that after 5 years it could be as high as 70 billion ???" Why is it perceived, Reeves is responsible for doubling the "black hole" to £20b through the public sector pay increases. You can't live beyond your means and when you try you go bankrupt pdq. In 4 yrs time if this Govt survives that long and the country doesn't go bust before then, in 2029 I dread to think the state the country will be in.  At least Sunak and co had inflation back to 2% with unemployment being stable and not rising.
    • He seemed to me to be fully immersed in the Jeremy Corbyn ethos of the Labour Party. I dint think that (and self describing as a Marxist) would have helped much when Labour was changed under Starmer. There was a purge of people as far left as him that he was lucky to survive once in my opinion.   Stuff like this heavy endorsement of Momentum and Corbyn. It doesn't wash with a party that is in actual government.   https://labourlist.org/2020/04/forward-momentum-weve-launched-to-change-it-from-the-bottom-up/
