West Ham 2 - 1 Everton

I can't believe I am rehearsing this Sunday and will miss the big matches! :X

Ouch Keef, that's got to smart a bit!

Birmingham 2 - 1 Reading

Derby 1 - 2 Middlesbrough

Man. City 2 - 0 Bolton

Portsmouth 2 - 1 Tottenham

Sunderland 0 - 0 Aston Villa

West Ham 2 - 2 Everton (revenge match from last night - but they played first teams so tired legs)

Wigan 1 - 3 Blackburn

Fulham 1 - 2 Newcastle

Liverpool 1 - 1 Man.United

Arsenal 1 - 1 Chelsea

after all of that, all I can say is....phew

I thought the ref in the Liverpool Man U game was pretty impressive. Less so in the case of Wile for the Arsenal Chelsea game

Neither game was much cop but that wasn't too much of a surprise as these things are inevitably close. I thought both could have been draws without too many complaints from any fans so commiserations to Liverpool/Chelsea fans

(all that said John Terry is the most enormous pain in the hole and should have been off the pitch long before that injury)

Terry is a knob, and I hope he loses the England captaincy.

Didn't see any footy yesterday as I was rehearsing... Glad I missed it all really.

The games must have been tight, as all MOTD2 could think of to talk about for Liverpool was Torres' defending... He's a bloody striker Alan!!!!

They did also say Gerrard was playing too deep, but I can't comment on that not having seen it.

Anyway, guess we're still in the race, but have a mountain to climb.

I'm happy with the Sundays result, but I thought Ade's goal was perfectly sound, but hey ho. I thought Eboue did the usual headless chicken impression (sort him out Arsene, for gods sake, he is the antithesis of everything we are trying to achieve. Her has a big heart, bit a small brain), and Terry was his usual brainless self. What else can you expect from a product of inbreeding?

Pool's performance was strange, almost as if they were scared to play. Kuyt was way under par, as was Torres ( and not because, as Hansen would have us believe, Ferdinand was so good). Babel should have started, but live and learn Rafa. Pool better keep an eye on the toffees as they seem to be making progress without anyone making too much of it.

Bring on Spuds for the early kick off next saturday.

Tottenham finally got their first away win of the season at the weekend at Portsmouth and blimey a clean sheet too! Now we're up against Man City tonight who haven't lost at home yet in the quarter-final of the League Cup and although we beat them a couple of weeks ago at White Hart Lane tonight could be a little more difficult. Oh! and we're away to the Gooners at the weekend...even more bloody difficult.

I watched the not so "Super Sunday" from the bar in the CPT with my Liverpool daft niece whose vocal encouragement of the Reds could probably be heard in the Castle up the road to the bemusement of a few others around us. At least it was more entertaining than the football on offer.

The funny thing is, people on here probably think you're exaggerating... He is not!

Sorry I missed you guys, will have to watch a match with you both soon, she is great value! >:D<

Good honest English Northern Club 2 - Soft Southern Foreign Fancy Dans 3. (This is how most pundits would love to describe the 2 teams)

Mark Hughes as is his way decided to focus on the fact that, according to him, we spend loads of money on our youth players. Surprisingly he chose to ignore that the fact that he had been beaten by our second string of 10 men. Gracious as always, I suppose I shouldn't expect anything else from someone who played for Fergusmoan for so long, some of his less endearing habits have clearly rubbed off.

Something tells me that if Liverpool win tonight, those balls might be heated to ensure that the semi finals are another "Grand Slam" night. Good old Mr Murdoch.......

Local derby anyone?

Everton v Liverpool and Arsenal v Tottenham. Or maybe it will be just one Northern team with three Southern.

    • It looks as though there will be 10 of us!  We are going to Love Dulwich again for a lunch and will checkout their 'normal' menu - from what we remember from the last 2 times we went = there was plenty to satisfy every one and they were happy to take party bookings.- Hubby and I have worked out that if all our daughters, grandchildren and great grandchildren were  to come - there would be 20 of us!! As it is - the Essex  family branch live too far away to come over for an evening - so we will meet up in Essex at a later date.
    • Tend to use 37 or 42 bus as rarely been able to find parking space. Sods Law - there is sometimes a few spaces when I bus it.!
    • Just to warn anyone thinking of employing or engaging Chris and Anna Richmond, that nothing has changed.  The accounts above from others are all too familiar.  A job that we were told would take between 6-8 months is now entering its 23rd month.  They have taken enormous amounts of money from us, finished nothing, and the quality of the work that they have delivered is poor to substandard.  They take no responsibility themselves - there are endless excuses and everything is someone else's fault.  They do not care about the impact that their actions have on anyone else.   They are, at best, chaotic. They have not delivered as the designers or project managers that they claim to be. They are rarely on site to monitor the progress or quality of the job that is being delivered and they and manage their largely non-English speaking workforce by WhatsApp and Google translate.  There has been little evidence that they employ the skilled tradespeople needed to lay tiles, install bathrooms and kitchens, decorate and complete to the standard that we have paid for.  I cannot stress enough, that if you are currently in discussion with Anna and Chris Richmond about a future job or have paid them money up front for a job that they have slipped in delivering, to quit while you are ahead.  Things won't get better.
    • Hi All, I’d like to recommend Aaron Manser, who several others on this forum have also used. Aaron is an excellent plasterer, and has just finished a complicated piece of plastering work for me, including a large expanse of ceiling. His work has been of the highest quality, his attention to detail is exceptional, and he’s also very quick, and tidy too. As an added bonus he has a lovely singing voice. Happy to provide any photos of the work he has done. This is the third time over the past few years I’ve had Aaron back. Aaron Manser - 07773 410661 Regards, Damien
