i watched it down the boozer and thank god for the smoking ban, it meant i was able to nip outside on a regular basis, thus avoiding watching the game.

Yeah but no but....Sunderland won at Villa last week, are stronger at home and fighting relegation. The Hammers are safe! :))

Cheers for the commentary - I was a long way from a telly and if I can visit just ONE website.. this is it and I had some updates


wow - that was a game. why haven't we seen more of that character. Too little too late I fear but good to see none the less


Wenger called it on the tackle - a deserved red card (from an all to predictable source)


I no longer believe Arsenal have "a discipline problem" - but that was warranted and responsibility was accepted. More please

Good result for us yesterday, have to say I found the second half rather dull, but I'm sure Anna will disagree, but she did et to soak up the derby atmosphere.


Bit of a shocker for Spurs yesterday, and the highlights show some very dodgy defending. However, hats of to Newcastle, they loked like a different team, and nice to see Owen is still a classy finisher when he gets his chances

in light of the fact that my brother is the most committed Liverpool fan I know (and there is strong competition on here but really - you have to see this guy in action!) and the fact that he runs a pub, I was thinking of combining a visit to his pub on Wednesday evening to watch the Liverpool v Arsenal game


It's in Charlton - anyone else up for it? (Annsfield I know you won't be making it out from behind the sofa but maybe safety in numbers?)



non-involved forumites welcome - you don't have to enjoy football to enjoy watching my brother watching it!

I will be at the Emirates on Weds but would be happy to visit pub next week for the away fixture?

Yep have to say fair play to Man U, I thought Villa would b a tougher task than many, but they were brushed aside with worrying ease.


Sean not sure what my plan for Wednesday is yet, but cold be up for that as a change... Think the CPT will be more Arsenal, was considering the Railway here in Sydenham, as it is quite a Liverpool boozer...


I keep hearing people saying they think Liverpool will do the job, and I can't stand it. I'm rather nervous, they could be really exciting games if both teams play their best stuff... Just hope Torres keeps up his form for us

      TBH if people don't see what is sectarian in the materials linked to above when they read about them, then I don't think me going on about it will help. They speak for themselves.  I don't know how the Greens can justify promising to be a strong voice for one particular religion.       I'm not deliberately swerving anything. What exactly have they said in their communications in languages other than English that you object to? Why would they put those communications in other languages when the whole point was to connect with a specific group of people? Apologies if I've missed your point.

      The point (which you're swerving) is not that the Greens spread their message in a language other than English - it's what they have said, and why they're shy about saying the same thing in other languages, including English. If a party in Northern Ireland circulates leaflets in Ulster Scots only that tells voters to elect them so they can be a strong Protestant voice, and has videos in Ulster Scots only that seek to discredit the First Minister by showing (a propos of nothing) images of them meeting the Pope - is that inclusivity or sectarianism?
