Ah-ha - are we out-ing the cloak as punishment? Splendid... I've always thought of out-ing as a serious forum crime, but a fun twist to use it as punishment for other serious crimes.

the cloak - if that is, in fact, your real name - a cursory glance at any thread on this site demonstates that keef and the above objectors basically are the forum.

Poorly thought out move, I'd say...

Polly D you are posting again! Does this means that you have settled into your new job? :)

Cloakie - have you learned your lesson now? This isnt anti-social forum. We LIKE each other, we argue and bicker but we dont slag each other off, much.

Quite, assuming that you have correctly interpreted Lozzyloz's post as anti SE5 snobbery, that is. I had hoped for a less hurtful explanation.

At least you are prepared to post honestly though rather than just ass kiss your fellow forumites.

Are you The Cloak *Bob*?

Me? The Cloak? Alas no. I would have been electronically outed by now.

You're right about the ass-kissing though. I do sometimes feel it my duty (along with a few Notable Others) to fly the flag of sarcasm, humbug and general misery amidst a sea of self-congratulatory backslapping.

Regards,

*Bob*

I would argue that "Numpty" is something of a term of endearment. Like, you're a bit silly but I like you anyway. As for "the biggest sausage", not really heard that one before, although I guess it could be like "you silly sausage" which again has slightly playful connotations.

Making out that someone works in SE5 though, that's bang out of order.

I disagree, Al. I think 'wally' also has endearing connotations. As in "ee's a bit of a wally, but ee's awright really"

However, if I were to say, for example, "ALAN DALE IS A BIT OF A PLONKER", (not that I would, of course), I think that would be slightly more derogatory.

    • Hello All,   I am looking for a Little Tikes covered sand pit. If you have one that your little ones have grown out of, please get in touch.   Many thanks in advance.   Michelle
    • My perspective is based on reason - my first comment was a question - what is driving the forecast increase in claimants. It suggests that - if so many new claims are expected, that either there is something seriously wrong or the tests are not sufficiently stringent. Happy for you to have a stab at that.
    • Like I said, the measure is needed but its badly thought through  Most people who become or are disabled don't choose it (i certainly didn't)  and often want to work but being disabled often adds costs to daily living so PIP is a valuable life line and carers are often taking strain of community support services so we can't begrudge their modest allowance.  I'm simply advocating that the vote on Tuesday is withdrawn until its properly consulted on and thought through.  Out of curiosity Angelina and Alice are either of you disabled or are you posting from a privileged point of view in life??
    • Hi Marc   Could I message you too? I'm becoming so frustrated. The last straw is the lack of working barriers, for months now, that they didn't bother to sort before summer now leading to mega queues. So foreseeable.
