I was involved in a hit and run accident on East Dulwich Grove , Lordship Lane end. It happened on 22December 14. I suffered multiple fractures to my right leg and a ligament damage to my left shoulder and a nasty bang to my head. I was hospitalised for almost two weeks, missed Christmas with my family and it caused a lot of worry to my loved ones.

There have been quite a few concerns on here regarding this junction and I have seen a few near misses since my accident.

There is a petition going on to make this a safer place but unfortunately 500 signatures are needed, I've managed to get 55. If you live in the area and use this junction you'll probably know how dangerous it is to cross here.

Please could I ask you to sign this petition so I can continue to ask for help to make this safer , somehow.

Thank you

Freda Grehan

135 signatures so far. Need a good few more, please sign if you agree that this junction is not safe and needs making safer. 400 odd have read the post and a good few have signed but we need a lot more. Please feel free to share on Facebook and amongst friends and family. Thank you - Freda

Thank you so much for signing!!

20 more signatures in an hour and a half, please pass it on to friends and family, I'm sure it's possible to get another 426 signatures on here, for the safety of our friends and family.

Thank you

Freda Grehan.

signed.

but I guess if one wants to use these registration sites then it would be an error to think that they should be free at the point of use in a world where governments (here local, but the point carries forward to general) are frightened wit-less by popular democracy.

I will sign this. Southwark already have data on the dangerous speed of traffic on this road ( http://www.southwark.gov.uk/download/downloads/id/13539/melbourne_grove_south_safety_review_and_feasibility_study_report ) (page 8)sop if they don't do something it will be bordering on negligence.

    • Whilst I agree to some extent,  are they going to have some kind of checkpoint?  I can't see how this could work in practice. Surely Southwark residents go to these places quite frequently as well, particularly Tate Modern?  Will we have to take proof of residency every time we go out? What happens when family are with us who don't live in Southwark? Will other London boroughs start doing the same thing? Will Southwark residents be charged a tourist tax to visit "tourist attractions" in other areas, eg the V&A and the British Museum?
    • A shout out for Mark, owner of Pure Plumbers. 07970 971510 They're well established in the Sevenoaks area, but have recently started doing more work in SE London.  Did some v quick and efficient bathroom and boiler fixes for me; have also seen some of the bathrooms he's built, which have a nice attention to detail. • Totally agree regarding not supporting chains. Gail’s was fine but last time I went in Feb this year, actually walked out Fayetteville looking at menu and waiting 15 minutes to even get glass of water and not busy at all. Staff gone down hill - sooner it goes the better… Always prefer to support non chains - so many lovely places with good food to choose from with pleasant staff who know about customer service and sadly, non English which says a lot for our culture, pubs are also becoming abit of a hit and miss affair but maybe just unlucky. At the end of the day all about the chef. Still abit unclear where new place is located - is it down the road from Goose Green where parade of shops are before Peckham Rye?
    • Surely only where the local businesses offer clear advantages, otherwise you are rewarding what should be failure. I want to be served by a better bakery than Gail's, not a worse but local independent one. Certainly give a local independent some time to get the offer right, but don't buy goods which are worse and or more expensive just because the outlet isn't a chain.
