Actually there is, but it's rather dull. I've only posted once, on a thread demanding a "middle class pub" in Sydenham... I swear!

They've actually got their way, and all seem very pleased with The Dolphin, sister pub to The Dartmouth Arms in Forest Hill. Personally I think it's sh!t.

There are some interesting history buffs on there though who post old photos and things.

Think it's called Sydenham Town Forum, like I say, I only posted once last year... Feel more at home on here :-S

As if. People from all over the world live in Camberwell but no one moves from 22 to 5.

That would be like moving from Angel to Old Street.

    • That explanation sounds highly unlikely!  Surely the "days of the week" plates must be a standard size. I know Royal Mail often appears incompetent, but it  couldn't be that stupid, surely. Was it 1 April?!
    • Looking for a short length of electric (twin & earth)  lighting cable. Most likely there could be some in a skip near you??
    • Southwark's recycling guidance says to put shredded paper in the blue bin in a paper envelope or "small box". I've got far too much of it for that  (confidential stuff going back decades) - thanks to the EDF member who kindly gave me a shredder! It would be a "massive box". I have barely started  the shredding, and I've already got an extremely large bagful.   I've read online that you can put it into  large clear plastic bags in the bin for paper,  provided you  clearly label it "shredded paper" and it is obvious what it is. Does anybody know if Southwark would accept it like that? Alternatively, can anyone make use of it for animal bedding or packaging material or adding to  compost?
    • I'm happy to report that some foxgloves are now looking great in my garden. The bees are loving them. Also managed to grow some corn poppies from seed. I've left some decaying logs in the corner so maybe there are some stag beetles there.
