Hardly what you'd call "proper research", now, is it?

For a genuine, unbiased example of how economic and social trends in the north of England have stagnated over the last thirty years, have a look at

lifted from an article in last month's Economist.

Thought-provoking material, as I'm sure you'll agree.

A thing that annoys me about the north is that it's so much more difficult to earn a good living.

That's why us northerners come here, not to keep this lazy arsed, talent free, useless bunch of no hoper's afloat,

but to scrape a meagre living which cannot be done where we cum from, by 'eck!

They are much more 'provincial' too.

Well I suppose &$%@# is one but really it is just the correct way the finish this sentence: "May I please have an eighth... ?

NORTH http://www.productionfenceworks.com/commercial/commercial/chain-link-fencing-razor-wire-fence_files/Razor%20Wire%20Chain%20Link%20Fence.jpgSOUTH

You will see by this simple illustration the affluence and sophistication of the South.

The South has prime cuts of nutritious meat delivered by modern trucks into the metropolis.

The North by contrast shows a stolen car, ready to ramraid the warehouse full of pies and Brown Ale.

The razor wire is a necessary safety feature of the divide.

Children of the South are often bought to look and poke sticks at the North.

Sadly Darts still prevails in both regions.

They like their bowls in diagonal lines. wrote PGC

Well now PGC that's where you're wrong,

we like our bowls on our knee,

so no one can eat our green furry crusts before we do,

it's not much I know but it were a feast to us,

tell that to people today and they wouldn't believe you........

    • I’m currently conducting exploratory research into menstrual health education in UK secondary schools and would really value the insight of PSHE leads, Heads of Year, or pastoral staff.    The research aims to understand:   How the menstrual cycle is currently taught within the RSHE framework Where schools feel confident — and where there may be gaps Whether students are taught and  asking questions around the full menstrual cycle, symptoms, wellbeing and conditions such as PMS/PMDD or endometriosis How schools support students in feeling empowered to understand their bodies and seek help appropriately Whether education around nutrition, lifestyle, and menstrual wellbeing is currently addressed   The long-term goal is to explore whether there is a need for additional, age-appropriate, medically informed support on the menstrual cycle.  I’m not selling a programme and there is no obligation beyond a 30 minute informal chat online (Unpaid). All conversations will be confidential and used only to inform the research. If you work in a UK secondary school and would be willing to share your perspective, I would be extremely grateful to hear from you. Please comment below or email me [email protected] Thank you for the vital work you do. Best wishes, Emma
