To be honest not too hot on ticket prices, i just have an annual zone 2 in case of any train issues, gives me the option of my normal route - denmark hill to city thameslink, but i can get whatever bus from ED to denmark hill, or go from peckham rye or jump on a 40 or go to London bridge and get a 17 to farringdon/holborn...............

You get the picture.....

Depends if you want to pay out the least or have the full flexibility when things go bad.

Not entirely sure of the sums involved but last time I looked, if you were only going to be doing two single leg journeys, PAYG Oyster was better than the Travelcard. So, if you plan on walking to the stations at either end and not using public transport on non-work days, then PAYG should be cheaper. If you do get caught out one day and have to take a different route, it will be capped anyhow. But if you're going to hop on buses to/from stations and work at least 5 days, then go for the Travelcard

    • Well actually it doesn't.  I've just entered various post codes, some in SE15 and the same blue shaded area as shown in my first post still appears.  Although it is true that additional blue shaded areas can be viewed. I think Penguin is probably correct in that it indicates an area of low pressure.  Might have saved us all time had I just PM'd penguin straight away.  They generally have a good insight into most things .

    • I cannot speak highly enough about my experience with Yousef and his team for my recent house move in East Dulwich. Downsizing and relocating  my stuff from a house to a flat was made a calm and pleasant experience. The move included large and heavy items of furniture, taking items apart and reassembling in the new place, as well as loads of boxes. Nothing was too much trouble. I can thoroughly recommend this service, you will not be disappointed!
    • If you have a leak, and are not able to use the interactive map then you can register for text message updates or you can call the free number for updates the blue shaded area depends on which postcode you enter when you search
