Narnia
Does anyone know if there is any free parking near the station on weekdays please? If so where? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12414-parking-near-tulse-hill-rail-station/ Share on other sites
Jah Lush
Afraid not. I don't drive myself but what I do know is that it's a bastard to park around there or anywhere in Tulse Hill come to think of it. Get the train from East Dulwich to Tulse Hill instead and save yourself a lot of bother. Narnia
Yeah I figured that Jah but good to have it confirmed. I actually want to get to Farringdon and this way seems a nicer way to travel than going underground. Jah Lush
You could always try going via Herne Hill or Denmark Hill. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12414-parking-near-tulse-hill-rail-station/#findComment-345170 Share on other sites

Narnia
That sounds good....even better! Have been offered some temporary gainful employment in town and not having worked there for years, is a weekly travel card the cheapest option or the oyster card with enough dosh on it, if you wouldn't mind? stevebailey
To be honest not too hot on ticket prices, i just have an annual zone 2 in case of any train issues, gives me the option of my normal route - denmark hill to city thameslink, but i can get whatever bus from ED to denmark hill, or go from peckham rye or jump on a 40 or go to London bridge and get a 17 to farringdon/holborn...............You get the picture.....Depends if you want to pay out the least or have the full flexibility when things go bad. womanofdulwich
the oyster card says " it will be no more"- but I would def buy a one week travelcard to be sure. Applespider
Not entirely sure of the sums involved but last time I looked, if you were only going to be doing two single leg journeys, PAYG Oyster was better than the Travelcard. So, if you plan on walking to the stations at either end and not using public transport on non-work days, then PAYG should be cheaper. If you do get caught out one day and have to take a different route, it will be capped anyhow. But if you're going to hop on buses to/from stations and work at least 5 days, then go for the Travelcard Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12414-parking-near-tulse-hill-rail-station/#findComment-345257 Share on other sites
Squidge
If you get there at a reasonable hour you can park in Palace Road, just off Leigham Vale, almost opposite the exit to the station and down the side roads off it. Places go quickly! Hope that helps.
