SteveT
Getting back to reality without scaffolders, I thought the first time I went to Harrods was amazing, so a visit to just look around and beg a Harrods bag for her to take home might be cool. SteveT
A trip on the river bus is probably a reasonable investment. When I went for a trip on the Woolwich ferry I thought it was interesting. 'bout now
Those open top bus thingys are actually *ahem* rather good. You buy a daily ticket and hop off and back on at your will. I took my teenager on one not long ago, the guide was funny and informative, it was well educayshonall.Quite pricey though. Sue
Just to say, when I went to Zandra Rhodes' fashion museum I was quite disappointed. It was much much smaller than I was expecting, and they had on a very boring exhibition which took up virtually all the available space. If you're thinking of going there, you might want to check out what's on first. ontheedge
Two years ago brought my then 12 year old and 15 year old nieces from rural Ireland to see "into the hoods" I was dreading it but it was fantastic and thouroughly enjoyed by all, we went to the dungeons which they loved but had to queue for too long so go early. 15 year old couldn't wait to go to Abercrombie & Fitch she loved it me and 12 year old hated it, she also loved top shop and urban outfitters Oxford St in general where I rarely stray can't stand it. BeccaL
Spitalfields market is good on a Sunday - lots of stalls and plenty of places to eat Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12593-tips-please-teenage-girl-come-to-stay/page/2/#findComment-348932 Share on other sites
Sue
There's also several markets around this area on a Sunday, you could start off with Petticoat Lane early on, then move on to Spitalfields market. Then there's Brick Lane market, quite different to Spitalfields, plus some record shops, vintage clothes shops, another covered market and loads of food stalls around Dray Walk and the area at the top of it.Dray Walk is off Brick Lane. And of course if she likes curry you're spoiled for choice (as a change from Lordship Lane :) )Easyish to get to the area from ED, 35 from Camberwell Green goes to Liverpool Street station and it's all a short walk from there, alternatively a 40 to Aldgate.
