On LL

I witnessed this at 10am this morning, the damaged car was WP05 EPD, a white SIXT hire van VR10 VYY hit the front driver side as it was trying to park (the van driver was chatting on his mobile)

A slim fair haired guy.

PM me if you need a witness.

Other people, anything more I should do? There was no point me putting a note on the damaged car as if the driver didn't intend to deal with it himself, he was parked right by and probably would have taken the note off.

Eh?

The car was blue, the van was white (as all SIXT vehicles are)

I have told Sixt and the police, anyway

No, he parked and sat in his van for a while, got out and examined the damage then went across LL. I'm not saying he didn't leave a note for the car's owner on his return, only in case he didn't, I have his details anyway.

    • I haven't had a rude EVRI delivery but last week I had an unexpected delivery at 10.42 pm. He didn't ring the bell or knock on the door (or rattle the letter flap) but just took a photo and put the box down.  If it hadnt been for the door camera giving us a beep we would never have known there was a parcel ready to sit there all night.
    • Sorry if I’m being slow but there’s no point in having a gate then is there?  Would have thought it was basic manners to respect someone’s property

    • I have a rescue Spanish greyhound (galgo) from the charity mentioned above. You can contact Greyhounds in Need or one of the more local Kent greyhound rescue charities. They are fantastic family dogs. They do love walkies 2 or 3 times a day but they actually don't need to be walked too far and then they will happily loaf around on the sofa being very chill. They are brilliant with kids but not recommended if you own a cat as they have a strong prey drive. They also should be kept on the lead in local parks. They prefer to be around other sight-hounds (well my one does) and there are loads of local sighthound owners in Peckham, Crystal Palace etc and a very lively WhatsApp group that is brilliant if you need dog sitting as you can usually find someone to do that for free in return for you looking after the dog at a later date etc.
