Actually I DID do a big spoiler but I edited it out sharpish. I guess I thought I was the only person in SE22 who hadn't watched Series 2 so a spoiler would be OK. Oops though.

On a people-from-The-Wire-turning-up-unexpectedly, and without going into a long story as to how I came to be watching it, City Senator Clay Davis (or at least the actor who plays him) turns up in (the actually-not-half-bad-if-you're-in-the-mood) Disney film Enchanted. I really wanted a good long sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it from him...

Is up there with Stringer Bell in the Jack Davenport/Susannah Harker Channel 4 vampire thing from some years ago - Ultraviolet.

Man, I'm going to have to get new slippers now.

I just thought you might have given Keef a chance to do it himself. But I see now you were protecting the unwary and that there was love in your soul, not officiousness. So I apple oh guys for any slight to your character.

P.S. Don't you two gang up on me. ;-)

P.P.S. it's taken me about 10 minutes to get this posted due to the interference of small fingers, so I may have to say ta ta for now.

It's not exactly a biggy, and the forum needs moderators, but I don't agree with changing anyones posts in any way, unless of course they're claiming that a local business is a front for a child porn ring or something!

I also think that it should be totally open who has "the power" on here, and while I'm at it, Sean needs to loosen up on his trigger happy lounging finger! ;-)

Anyway, The Wire...

Well not the wire actually, but The Devil's Whore. I rather enjoyed it last night, did anyone watch?

    • Not fair on the patients or the consultants, either.
    • These very anti social fireworks went on for at least fifteen years and were unbearable for both humans and pets.    Was extremely relieved that they moved a couple of years ago.  Never experienced such close proximity loud fireworks before.   But the ones that go off in the middle of the night are also very upsetting and annoying.
    • Not they've gone. Everything has been ripped out. No sign of anyone new yet.
    • The frequency of fireworks seems to be increasing. If revellers selected the low noise variety that would help, but the trend seems to be the louder the better. I do not think sensitivity to stimuli is the same as timidity. Unexpected, extremely loud bangs and unusual noises will startle most of us. Humans, unlike other animals, have the luxury of knowing what fireworks are and what the noise represents. Some animals do learn to cope but many do not. It could be their hearing is not as sensitive. We should not forget that many animals, including cats and dogs have hearing that is much more developed than ours.
