Moos
Could Mockers be starting a turf war by luring away Keef's Wire customers? There'll be blood on the corners of East Dulwich tonight. I guess I thought I was the only person in SE22 who hadn't watched Series 2 so a spoiler would be OK. Oops though. giggirl
Blind Boys of Alabama get my vote (series 1). I saw them years ago supporting Peter Gabriel - it was amazing just watching them getting on/off the stage. Pure magic. Tom Waits has such a massive and loyal fan-base and I just don't get him. At all. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/16/#findComment-146326 Share on other sites
Keef
I'm with you gg. Although the one with the female singer is kind of cool in a different take on it. giggirl
Season 2 finished. Is there anyone who could loan me Season 3? I can swap for my Pedro Almodovar collection or I have CSI Vegas seasons 1 - 4. Pretty please. Keef
There is a programme on Channel 4 at 9 tonight called The Devil's Whore. Some of the ladies on here may be interested to know that McNaulty aka Dominic West is in it as Oliver Cromwell. Also stars John Simms of Life on Mars fame.Sounds like a good watch to me. RosieH
Some of the ladies might be very interested indeed - that John Simm fella's not a bad watch either.Out tonight, but this will surely be one that C4 will be having on demand. And Azul - give in and let yourself go, it feels fantastic Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/16/#findComment-148459 Share on other sites
dave
On a people-from-The-Wire-turning-up-unexpectedly, and without going into a long story as to how I came to be watching it, City Senator Clay Davis (or at least the actor who plays him) turns up in (the actually-not-half-bad-if-you're-in-the-mood) Disney film Enchanted. I really wanted a good long sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-it from him...Is up there with Stringer Bell in the Jack Davenport/Susannah Harker Channel 4 vampire thing from some years ago - Ultraviolet. Keef
Thomas "Tommy" Carcetti was in The Good German with George Clooney.I used to really like Ultraviolet, it was sold on the fame of Jack Davenport after This Life, but don't think it really took off that much.Stringer Bell is a badddie in The No. 1 Ladies' Detective Agency. Moos
Man, I'm going to have to get new slippers now. I just thought you might have given Keef a chance to do it himself. But I see now you were protecting the unwary and that there was love in your soul, not officiousness. So I apple oh guys for any slight to your character. P.S. Don't you two gang up on me. ;-)P.P.S. it's taken me about 10 minutes to get this posted due to the interference of small fingers, so I may have to say ta ta for now. Keef
It's not exactly a biggy, and the forum needs moderators, but I don't agree with changing anyones posts in any way, unless of course they're claiming that a local business is a front for a child porn ring or something!I also think that it should be totally open who has "the power" on here, and while I'm at it, Sean needs to loosen up on his trigger happy lounging finger! ;-)Anyway, The Wire...Well not the wire actually, but The Devil's Whore. I rather enjoyed it last night, did anyone watch? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/16/#findComment-148639 Share on other sites
