Keef
FFS, what has that spoilt? There are people who swear and they are in a kitchen. Without people saying such and such scene is good, those not interested are unlikely to get interested. I'm not sure I should mention this, but someone gets shot in one of the episodes. There, I've said it! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/19/#findComment-182425 Share on other sites
Moos
Oh, yeah, I saw that episode Keef. Good, wasn't it! And there was one where someone had some drugs for sale, but I probably shouldn't say what kind.(only teasing, Lord Mac) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/19/#findComment-182436 Share on other sites
bon3yard
Might be late with the news but I make no apologly for it, Aunties decided to air all 60 episodes of The Wire on BBC2 at a rate of one episode a night! Surely worth the licence fee alone. (tu) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/19/#findComment-183500 Share on other sites

giggirl
BE STILL BE BEATING HEARTOMG, DOMINIC WEST IN THE FLESH.I've just received my members' update from the Donmar Warehouse about the winter season....LIFE IS A DREAM by Pedro Calderon de la Barca, in a new version by Helen Edmundson, directed by Jonathan MunbyA cast that will include Dominic West will bring to life a classic play from the Spanish Golden Age ? a richly poetic, epic masterpiece which explores illusion, reality, fate and destiny set against the backdrop of a mythical kingdom. Moos
Nice catch, giggirl! Although his attractiveness sadly did not survive the Olly Cromwell wig. It seems every one has his limit.By the way, for those of you interested in the viewing habits of the Moos clan (anyone?anyone?), I'm delighted to report that Ma Moos, the most conservative person I know (since the passing of Grandpa Moos), loves the Wire, which she watches with the subtitles on. Another sceptic bites the dust! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/1290-the-wire/page/19/#findComment-193082 Share on other sites

giggirl
It just seems like yesterday that I was a Wire Virgin and now, here I am, an old hand at the beginning of series 4. I watched the first episode on DVD last night and the opening was a real beauty. The guy (or is it a girl?) in the DIY store buying the powertool. I love the store assistant's face when the penny finally drops. Here's a youtube clip. Keef
She's a she. I watched the first episode of The Corner last night. Not polished like The Wire, but you can see the quality was there. Huggers
I'm having to wait for series 4 as my very helpful and kind 'supplier' has leant it to someone else. If anyone out there can lend it to me sooner I will be very grateful....
