A great quote from Andre Royo (Bubbles)

"I did Law & Order while on hiatus from [shooting], and I got a lot of love ? they loved The Wire. In one scene, the cops come to my house because someone is killed and I have the weapon there. While we were shooting, I saw an open hallway and I ran out. And the director yelled ?Cut? and said, ?We?re not as smart as The Wire. On our show, you put your hands up and get handcuffed.? As long as there?s a character I can find some meaning in, I?ll do it. But being on The Wire has made looking at other shows and other scripts a little bit more difficult."

Johnny used to work on the docks, union men on strike, he's down on his luck, it's tough. Sorry for the first few episodes of Season 2 I couldn't get the Bon Jovi song out of my head.

Loved series 2 - more, by the end, than series one.

I can't wait for March - weekend of the 15th, some friends and I are going to sit down with a lot of chicken, some beers and the new boxset (my plans to stretch it out week by week are out the window)

"oh, indeeed"

I know of at least one forumite who is wont to call people "good poh-lice"

me, I have taken to receiving any bad news in a Stringer-like fashion -a deep inward sigh, some thought and then this-is-how-it's-gonna-be

And I don't mean ironically - I ACTUALLY believe I'm being that measured

As I've now broken my out-of-the-country-so-not-posting duck on a main thread can I also say I was HORRIFIED when I read Keef say he he couldn't watch the 2nd disc of series 2 - if I'm not mistaken that's the very disc where somebody very major does something bad to someone we care a lot about from series 1 - and he calls it like it ain't no thing!!!! I mean... sheeeee-it.

sheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeet

I keep finding myself doing that when I'm looking for something to cook in the fridge. Good to have you back for a bit Sean, you definitely good poh-lice.

Finished series 2 last night, Sean I'll get 1 & 2 back to you, do you have 3 at the mo???

What struck me is that after series 1 they didn't know for sure if they'd get a second series, so it could have ended there. However, they must have secured the backing for a third series before the end of 2, because it's just left a million things open.

My fave characters are Omar, Bunk, and without a doubt, The Bowtie Man >:D<

Mrs Keef likes Bubbles.

Carver is one of my favourite characters mainly because, as Sean says, you see him grow and redeem himself after what happens at the end of Season 1.

We watched the first episode of season 5 the other day. The quality was really poor though so we've decided to wait until July when it is shown on FX. Am going to struggle with the wait even more now I have had a tantalising taste of the new season. But I know it is for the best.

yeah I've been avoiding all season 5 spoilers and or torrent/downloads like the plague - hard as that is. It's partly the fact that once I see season 5 that's it

But I'm also waiting until end of season 5 to rewatch the lot - there is sooo much to pick up on with repeat viewings

Also am I alone in fancying McNulty's ex-wife?

    • We made a day of it and went to John Lewis on Oxford street Tish Lyon in July this year. They use a needle and my daughter is super squeamish but they were great and she was brave they were really nice and the selection of earrings is lovely.   Monica vinadar also do a special kids experience they have a branch in canary wharf or flagship in chelsea.  You do have to buy a pair of earrings from them in both cases. It's about 20quid for up to three piercings and then u basically pay for the earrings of choice. All very unlike my own experience of taking myself to a hair dresser in Hull to annoy my mum and getting it done with probably a rank gun. I survived...less lovely though.  I did also recently get my own ears re- done at Polished. It was fine but did feel like blunt fork going through my ear and I did come away with a shirt collar covered in blood.  I survived and wasn't that bad... but again...slightly less lovely. A friend went to Pro beauty next to clippers in Dulwich. Her daughter was very nervous so they used numbing cream for her (don't think they normally recommend it as such) but that seems to have been a good experience as well .    Tish lyon will do from age 7, monica vinader you have to be actually exactly 10. We wanted to go a week before 10th bday and MV wouldn't do it until the day of 10th bday.
    • Yes, that sounds right. Couldn’t remember the name!
    • This is not what I am referring to as imaginary, more that to reverse this trend shoppers would be prepared to go back to high street shopping - To pay more - Endure the irritation, inconvenience and time spent real life shopping - and to have far, far far less choice. To shop in bricks and mortar shops means the shopkeeper is to a certain extent making preliminary choices for us. As I said before, the genie is out of the bottle.
