Acupuncture for Labour

Hi,

Has anyone tried this and had a positive outcome. If you have please could you let me have some recommendations on good people to us. I hear success does depend very much on the experience of the person. Also any thoughts on reflexology.

I had ante-natal acupuncture from Ella Keepax. It was very helpful. She practices out of Harley St, 07787118931.

Locally, Giles Davies is also very good. His practice is on Barry Road, 07739414210.

I second the recommendation for Giles Davies. For reflexology I recommend Katie Sedgwick on Landcroft Road. Don't have her number handy but think you can find it if you search for her here or Google her. PM me if no luck.

I had an acupuncture induction with Dan from the Therapy Rooms on Lordship Lane. He was fantastic and I would definitely use him for labour or another induction if ever I have another baby.

I had reflexology right up to the end (and when I was overdue) last time and found it really helpful as well as super relaxing. I went to Mayan, who is just the other side of Dog Kennel Hill - www.lifezest.co.uk.

Also my osteo, who treated me through out for various aches and pains uses acupuncture in his treatments. He helped me out with morning sickness and also has experience of helping to turn breech babies using acupuncture. Mark Tittle 0208 659 1210.

I had Dan from Dulwich Therapy Rooms too. I would definitely recommend it. About half an hour afterwards my waters broke in a cafe and I just about made the walk home to have the baby a couple of hours later!
