PeckhamRose
MR PR took this from the front balcony the other day. It's been photoshopped only for cropping slightly and to make it a bit clearer!Anyone work in the top of the Bishopsgate tower or Gherkin who experienced this?Weird, eh! LadyTaTa
I work at the top of the Citigroup building in Canary Wharf - we frequently get enveloped by low cloud, and it's horrible! The other day the NW was a thick wall of grey, but the SE had thick dark grey fingers of cloud much lower than we were - probably the day you took this.Quite often, the precipitation from minor localised showers is also lower than we are. DJKillaQueen
I guess it must be like being in a room with no windows on days like that. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12976-who-here-works-in-the-city/#findComment-355988 Share on other sites

dita-on-tees
last year there was some amazing mists, at the time i was on the top floor in the Barclays building in Canary Wharf and it was pretty eerie. You know there are buildings about 10-20 metres away from you but you cant see them. Jah Lush
Yep! It can get like that occasionally. I'm at One Canada Square, Canary Wharf by the way. So just a stone's throw away. PeckhamRose
Literally a stone's throw! How I would LOVE to be allowed to go up to the top floors of those buildings. So if any of you know how I could be allowed, let me know!I've been up quite a few tall buildings in London including the two tethered balloons at Vauxhall and Tower Bridge several years ago. That was fun! Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12976-who-here-works-in-the-city/#findComment-356040 Share on other sites

matthew123
Looking carefully at the Gherkin it appears to have a pair of angry red eyes and thus letting off a lot of steam! >:D Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/12976-who-here-works-in-the-city/#findComment-356269 Share on other sites
