And it is always a lot more convenient for the bumming.

My point was why on earth there should be anything wrong with sharing twin rooms.

I have always thought William Hague was a good guy - It would be a great shame if he had an affair of any type esp since he and his wife have been trying unsuccessfully for a baby.

Yes who cares ( other than the woman he's married to ) really

OKAY an analysis of his attire

Black "wrap" sunnies, often sported by "rugger buggers " ( you know "rugger" lots of butch men bashing into each other, then sharing a bath )

Or glasses worn on beach by "voyeurs" as the wrap around shape hides the swiveling eye technique

Next we have the hat: one size to small, brown with "sphincter" logo

I mean, it's not looking good as individual pieces or as a combo, is it ?

W**F

If I was Hague, I'd be telling everyone I was a homosexual.

The alternative - someone who actively chooses sharing a twin room over having his own comfy double - makes him a complete weirdo. One assumes some of the ?40Bn defence spend could have stretched to a double - for the foreign secretary.

not sure about chats and late Whiskeys, more like 'come upstairs I'd like 2 liqueurs'

Anyway don't the England team still share rooms? it'd not like anyone is accusing any of them being gay is it? Oh hold on.

I guess at the end of the day it's none of our business unless they get up to something that can lead to blackmail etc

Usually on weekends away for rugby etc, as if you have not had enough to drink already, someone always seems to have a hip flask....

Personally I think it is the norm for golf trips/rugby etc. I guess it is sometimes a cost issue.

What is obviously different here is that Hague was on work rather than social. In which case it may seem a bit odd.

Except that you're all missing the point.

No-one cares (or at least they shouldn't) whether Hague is gay or not. Except for Ffion, maybe. What is a problem is that the Foreign Secretary has hired someone palpably unqualified for the job as a Special Adviser. Now if he did this as an act of nepotism because the boy gave good head then it's a clear breach of both parliamentary rules and morality.

Hague can sleep with animal, mineral or vegetable, I don't care as long as he's good at his job. But he's shown a stunning lack of judgement in this appointment and the idea that a prominent member of the opposition, a married millionaire, would "share" a room with his aide merely reinforces this lack of judgement. If his aide was female everyone would be on him like a flash - why not now?

Number 10 have quelled the flames by making Hague issue a statement, and his personal bereavements are undoubtably tragic, but it doesn't excuse hiring a 25 year old, who's experience amounts to being a driver, as a political adviser on foreign relations.

I disagree. Even if the coalition forced the Foreign Secretary to share a room on trips if I could afford it I would upgrade myself to a single.

No-one apart from possible his wife care who he f**** but if he has voted anti-gay before it is an issue

    • Steve used to joke that my old VW Golf kept them in business. I've got a more reliable car now so maybe that's why they are closing. Sad day.
    • Is Dell Autos closing down completely or just moving? For whatever it's worth, for MOTs I've had good recent experience with The Test Centre in Deptford. They only do MOTs so they don't have any particular incentive to fail you and they usually have same day appointments. Open 7 days a week and late. https://www.thetestcentre.co.uk/our-test-centres/deptford-branch/ Obviously you would still need a "normal" garage to do servicing and repairs etc.
    • So what is the issue? You want compensation for the loss of value, or you want to expedite the matter?
    • No. What happened? I actually thought, considering it was what we used to call Guy Fawkes Day last night, the loud noises from  fireworks ended remarkably early. About 9pm? Maybe I just fell asleep and didn't hear any later ones. Do people actually burn Guys any more? Apart from at places like Lewes, where I believe they still have Bonfire Societies and burn effigies of various political figures etc.
