Open pubs for dinner on Xmas day?

Can anyone recommend a nice and not too expensive pub/restaurant that opens for lunch/dinner on Christmas day in East Dulwich and the area?

We went to Le Chardon two years ago and it was very nice.

I think the Cherry Tree is open on Christmas Day and also the Great Exhibition

The Nuns head, the Clockhouse and the Watsons General Telegraph are also all open for Christmas lunch

Thank you guys! It's very helpful. I see that the "Watsons General Telegraph" has a very good price offer. All the rest are around ?65 a head, which is far too much for me. The Nun's head is not open for lunch on Xmas day, and The Clockhouse didn't update their website yet.

Unfortunately the vast majority of places will be extortionately priced for Christmas lunch.

I think it's fair enough given the staff are giving up their own Christmas lunches (that's assuming the extra money goes to pay the staff, of course).

Yes, I was wrong about WGT, I thought the price is for Christmas day.

The Plough is already fully booked (?55 ahead) - I have a feeling now that most places will be fully booked, and I thought I'm starting to look too early...

Not really Sue. It's just that I am hosting a friend from abroad who wanted to eat out. I guess we will eat in and it will be fine.

By the way Le Chardon still has spaces, and it's ?52, so will consider it.

Cafe Rouge in the village has a 6-course lunch for ?50 a head and you get a nice walk home through the park to work it off.

One of the joys of living in diverse London is that a Christmas lunch on 25 December isn't something that all staff will particularly care about.

That's true! In which case I'm not sure how such high prices can be justified. I suppose it's supply and demand.

I drive so I can go to Chinatown or Edgware road, but was looking for a festive dinner :-)
