What are you angry about malumbu?

I can't remember where it was the last time it was in South London, though I do remember someone reporting here that the panel were later found eating somewhere in the Dulwich area. Someone will probably find the thread or even remember.

Harris Academy, Peckham. Maybe RH can get you a front row seat, and back stage pass..

Apologies, my use of English is not good due to the EU. It will be better when we leave. We will also start brewing proper English beer again like Double Diamond and Red Barrel which sadly Brussels outlawed due to the lack of diamondsbarrels in the beer. A good topic of conversation when I bump into Nige again at a Westminster pub

Unless he's migrated to the States by then.

I hate this programme, it attracts extreme guardianista liberal elitists for the most part, and a handful of right wing nationalist fanatics on the other. There's no sensible middle ground, and the biased panel try to 'out do-gooder' each other, it's painful to watch. Time the BBC retired this show.

Louisa.

Don't they boast about how representative the audience is.

It's not at it's best however - Robin Day - he was a presenter :)

They do seem to have a problem with the chair.

But for me the truly dire aspect of this programme (as with the appalling Newsnight) is that it makes a pretence of serious discussion. Yet the format only allows soundbites. So we get people on it who are willing to give them.

Can you imagine a serious thinker participating in this programme? How could they even begin to construct an argument in the slots available?

The BBC is supposed to provide public service: in current affairs it has long since stopped even trying in the concern for 'audience'.

    • Found Leon through the forum and would just like to add to all the recommendations as was very happy with his work. Had a few minor electrical issues that he solved quickly and efficiently for me along with very good communication, turns up when he says he will and is polite, professional and friendly. Leon’s number is 07707 925039
    • In the country, where I have relocated to these things and dealing with council  for all matters are dealt with  in days… freely admit less population than london. Certainly faster in everything.  Not surprised at all about Thames Water - remember years ago calling them about a leak in road - then it took a week for them to come out, despite daily calls from me. Disgusting at that time the lack of concern and wastage of water. Unbelievable that they are not held to account fir anything and that goes for Southwark Council as well.
    • But without knowing the cause of the repeated leaks, it's impossible to comment really. Poor repairs? Something wrong further up the system? Lack of maintenance?  When one of the leaks in our road recurred shortly after it had been repaired, a TW guy said to me that the repairers must have jumped too hard on the asphalt (?) laid above the point of the repair when they were getting it to settle (?) and broken the repair. I wasn't sure if he was joking or not 🤣
    • But in many cases the leaks are happening in the same places again and again, and every inch of pipe outside the Horniman on the South Circular must have been replaced at least 3 times in the last 15 years! Of course the infrastructure in some areas is old, but locally there's been quite a bit of replacement. To little effect it would seem.
