I like people who can actually do things. I mean make, repair, build things. Fred Dibnah was a top bloke in my opinion, he did spend the end of his life destroying the things he liked but really appreciated the blood, sweat and tears that went into creating something and could turn his hand to pretty much anything practical.

I too harbour a liking for ze Germans.

I also like flamboyant, over-the-top, gay guys who have the guts to push their sexuality down the throats of the unpleasant, rugby playing, meat-head, bigots that you get in the sort of small towns around the world like the one where I grew up. Fellows I salute you.

I like anyone involved in the ongoing proliferation of independent brewing in Britain.

Yes, I love Eddie Izzard because it takes guts for a man to wear a dress (sometimes it also takes guts for a woman to wear a dress). I also like you Brendan! And Hoochie B goes without saying.

I am aware of the term Giggi, but I think it's a bit Arena, whereas man crush is much more Kull of Atlantis which I reckon will find favour with Brendan.

This thread is turning into a massive group hug. I feel like telling someone to fekk off.

Hoochie - you could be right with the whole Brendan/Kull of Atlantis thing. It seems the best way to get round Brendan though is to set up a micro-micro-brewery in your front parlour.

    • I'm happy not seeing a GP face to face.  I had WhatsApp video appointments a couple of years ago, which ended up with me being rightly sent to Tommies A and E.  I see nurses from time to time at TJ, I always have a good laugh with both them and the blood test people.  I see the practice nurse at FH from time to time and it feels like visiting an old friend. I'm not sure whether social media has made us a more negative nation, or it just feels this way due to some of you who post on this forum.  The majority of posts in ED matters and on the transport thread are complaints  How would you define lazy and useless?  There is a spectrum of productivity, and of customer service.  Some excel at one or both, but I'm not sure at what point workers drop below an acceptable level.  When I am unhappy I will complain to an organisation. Some respond better than others.  One of my first posts over a decade was to complain about a local shop.  It's a funny anecdote which is essentially a "Ok you don't want my money so I'll go and spend many 100s of pounds at a different company" but I regret not dealing directly with the shop rather than getting pointless revenge many years later.  Still won't use the shop though.
    • Now as an ex patient my impression was that their is a general lack of accountability  or responsibility by the staff at FHRGP and heaven forbid you should disagree with them, "not allowed". They want total control with no scrutiny. How that practice survives, I really don't know.  That being said, two or three of the staff are excellent.
    • Why would they hide malumbu? I don’t have an attitude, but their reception staff do. I still smiled and thanked . Go and experience it. Sue , because that’s how it works . I wasn’t there for myself, someone else. Venting on here helps me, however I’m under no obligation to make any sense to you. You sound deluded about staff sitting around  doing job related things , have you had your Covid jabs?
