If the above link doesn't work search for Curry Club in the Lounge section.

Guys,

You were both brilliant, me thinks you may do me out of a job! This is simply 'Team Building' through 'Empowerment', but you get fitter, have some fun, and there is a huge social at the end of the sessions. I throw in a personal Anecdote in each session from the best, or worst part of my week :-) & :-(

I may need to push back the Macmillan 3K & 5K into April as it was pointed out yesterday that Rednose Day is in March.

Best!

Hi guys!

Its that time of the week again - Yay!

You may have noticed that I had to change the 'Subject Bar' as I have been asked if the FREE sessions was only for the first fitness group. Hell no! My vision in 2007 was to provide an alternative to paid fitness sessions - and this is my biggest group across London! I may have to ask S'wark Council to install more benches in the park as we are almost an army of happy health and fitness members :-).

We have a social coming up, a member about to do the Brighton Marathon, and 3-new members starting this coming Saturday - how cool is that!? So, if you are reading this and thing 'OMG, I want to be part of this group', either send me a PM or email me at [email protected] ..... go to www.AHM-Go.com for the 'Health From'.

Best!

McCabe.

See you all for 10am by the Cafe on the Rye.

Another great session, thanks McC! Albeit a bit muddy for me! Lesson learnt though & I won't be late again :-)

Plus, I got a parking ticket for having wheels on the footpath :-(

That'll teach me to drive there!!!

Oh well.

x

Legs may be feeling a tad stiff this morning.

Charliebubs, sorry to hear about the ticket :-(. Running across the centre of the Rye is abit like quicksand in places.

Anna, hope you are on the mend today :-)

Best!

Its not just the first session FREE, its absolutely every session!

* We don't roll in mud,

* We don't wear tight fitting garments - Hummmmm, perhaps my running shorts are an exception; and

* We don't work to a timewatch!

Enough of the 'Negs'!

* We work as a team,

* We count in Spanish, German, French, Russian, Japanese, Irish Gaelic, Zimbarwean, Hindi, Australian, Italian, Bulgarian, and sometimes..... just sometimes in English.

* We work to a specific routine that all the group members participate in and its fun!

* Each section is only 300m, so you can walk, jog or even run - if you are fast then you have to circle back to the last person which keeps the group together.

* We use a simple 1ltr bottle of water for arm, shoulder and back toning - then use to rehydrate.

* This Group is ideal if you are getting back to exercise, helping to alleviate an illness such as diabetes, in remission, Fibromyalgia, MS, high blood pressure to name a few.

* Finally, this is a super social group too - books, theatre, politics - I don't think so..., nursing, doctors, goz, drinking events and knitting! The last one was a red herring - well actually the wool of a sheep!

Catch you all in the morning - and if you are new, pop onto www.AHM-Go.com and copy the health form and email it back to [email protected], its that simple!

If you

Good to hear you enjoyed the session!

Just like Charliebubs, running across the Rye looks jolly inviting.... but its like a swamp, mudbath or anything else you can think of that gets your legs coated :-(

Let me predict, a little ache on the inside of the thights and may be on top of the thighs? If so, the former are you Adductors from the deep squats, and the latter are your Quads from the lunges & general Squats.

Did you notice the effect of the really simple 'little C's & big C's' - maybe a little Ow on the shoulders? What I can say is that the second time you do them there will be little or no 'Owing' or 'Ouching' the next day.

BTW, I do a Friday Rah Rah mid afternoon and generally a Monday follow-up on commments over the weekend.

Best!

    • that is one cliche-ridden post headnun    it doesn’t mean a sack of beans in the real world  “old fashioned voters” meaning the ones dragging the country down this last 15 years just to laugh at the libs tears. Well done all  I’m not looking back at all. This is not a post Europe world in any sense. There are forces bigger than Europe but uk would be better aligning with Europe against, say, china, the pretending we live in some post Europe world.    and in case you hadn’t noticed, whoever you vote for, there are a LOT of ignorant racists feeling very happy with their resurgence - I would fight against them if I were you
    • No they aren't. You're coming across as a smug, superior liberal, and that's what old fashioned voters (labour, Cons and now Reform) hate. That 'the deplorables' 'they're all ignorant racists' line is what's driving people away from the traditional parties and towards Reform.  You're as guilty of looking back as Labour. This is a new, post-europe world and we all need to come to terms with that, make do with what we have, and move forward.
    • I have sympathy with any voter, anyone, who having witnessed the last 14 years and then Labour in the last year and wonders just how can things be this bad  unless a) they voted for brexit b) voted Tory after 2010 c) is thinking of voting reform  because anyone who thinks reform won’t make things a thousand times worse after voting for the previous?  It is they who are the problem.  They are the reason the country is in the doldrums with an embarrassingly-timid Labour government  Specifically Chris mason - a not very bright right leaning stooge - large part of why bbc news has become grok-level slop
    • In what way? Maybe it just felt more intelligent and considered coming directly after Question Time, which was a barely watchable bun fight.
