Go up to the woods. Get a load of ivy. Twine the stems in and out to form a circle.

Shove a load of other leaves and stuff in.

Hang it up with a ribbon or a bit of string.

Free. Ish.

Sorted :)

Don't you like a nice walk in the woods before Christmas?

Making the wreath needn't take much time at all!

My Christmas tree logic has changed over the last few years.

I now buy a tree as early as possible

The logic being if I'm going to pay ?50 for one I want to get as many days pleasure as possible :) I've not looked back since adopting this approach.

Merry Christmas

I also agree with the comments about being cautious about getting insurers involved and I’m in the Insurance Post Magazine this week discussing this subject. I have written a blog on my website about it too. It’s a huge problem which is currently escalating enormously. UK Subsidence (clay shrinkage and trees) Fb group has experts on it (incl myself) giving free advice and is a useful resource. My Insurer has withdrawn subsidence cover.pdf

    • Yup. At best I have people who detest Trump shrugging and saying something like “what ya gonna do?” Like that is any kind of answer what we gonna do is condemn, and watch out for same happening here - and watch out for all the handmaidens who would allow this to happen.  Apologists for Farage, Jenrick etc
