Construction at top of Lordship Lane?

Hiya.. does anyone know what the old car parts shop is going to be - at the top of Lordship lane - by the library/bookies etc? I've been dying to know.. looks like it might be turnd into flats or something?? Scaffholding seems to have been there forever..

I live up that way and have been dying to know for years but little in the way of hard and fast evidence at the moment it seems (sadly)

I can tell you that it's definitely not going to be a M&S, I have a mole on the inside (of M&S) who tells me so.

Does your "mole" have any idea if ED is going to get an M&S?

Apparently not at the moment, they would like to move here but they haven't found the right premises yet. The Iceland here in ED wouldn't give up the lease.

I was gutted one day when I left my 1959 Austin in bits and went there for some parts only to find it had gone!! One of the reasons I got a garage up that end of the lane...

Hopefully will be a motorists superstore.....but i doubt it :-(
