Friday December 17th - To gig, or not to gig?

Recommended Posts

Hello, we have a chance to do a gig at The Half Moon on Friday December 17th. However, last year we did one around that time, and found it hard to get a crowd in because everyone had xmas parties.

So, for anyone who has seen us before, or would like to see us, would you come if we did that night?

I was at that gig last year and splendid tho the band were, the crowd was thinner than any previous gig I've seen you play for the reason you mention - so I have every sympathy with the dilemma. I can say that i won't be able to make this date anyway

Yeah, thinnest crowd we've ever had by some margin!

I think perhaps we'd be better doing a big gig in February, once everyone is over the January blues, and ready to have it large.

We're thinking of putting on a big night at The Bedford in Balham, possibly with one or two other bands playing too... I'll keep you all posted.

Giggi, don't forget to bring some bread and relishes in case she's wearing the all you can eat buffet again.

    • I had lots of books to donate to the HH Oxfam bookshop a few months ago.                I phoned them, and they told me I could drive to the rear of the shop, where parking is easy.  They gave me directions, and came out to meet me when I arrived.  They were very helpful, and grateful for the donation. So it's definitely worth ringing them!
    • Called Tessa Jowell GP Surgery today after failing to get two repeat prescriptions from the pharmacy.  When I asked the pharmacy, I was told that they had been requested but not sent by the surgery.  After speaking to the surgery I was told that those two items were no longer on my repeat prescriptions.  I was told I would need a prescription review. Earliest date would be the 22 September.  That is utterly ridiculous.  Surely someone from the surgery should have contacted me to tell me this after requesting the repeat prescriptions two weeks ago.    Also, apparently, there is no point sending an email regarding prescriptions as they are not actioned nor replied to as I have discovered.
