Large cardboard boxes and packaging - bulky waste?!

Just wondering about the above we have quite a few large cardboard boxes and associated packing and was wondering if I could get it removed via the bulky waste service. On the site it doesn't mention anything about boxes so wanted to be sure before I paid up!

You could fold it up and put it in the blue bins, and those of your friendly neighbours!

People always want these for removals, stick them in For Sale section.

They are awkward sized bit large boxes that had a mattress and bed frame in etc... So not suitable for moving. Might have one or two that are suitable for moving will check.

They are so big though that even broken down they don't fit in a bin!

Do you have a car? If so, take them to the tip.

Otherwise cut up and feed into the blue bin over the course of a few weeks..

No unfortunately not otherwise for sure would have driven down. The boxes and packing pile is huge and just want it out of the front room!

Rip/cut them down to a more manageable size and leave them by the side of your blue bin on the day it gets collected...

Tried that before, the box got left by the binmen

General question still remains - will bulky waste guys take them?

They took mine when I broke it down into smaller pieces.

They will take mattresses and bed frames so I don't see why they wouldn't take the boxes they came in. Why don't you ring them to find out...

On hold for 15 minutes and gave up! That's once you have actually found their number which is well hidden these days on the new website.

They now charge ?16 per pick up - disappointingly.

Hi Calsug, if you have recyclable items such as cardboard boxes, I would suggest flattening them and putting them out next to your recycling bin for removal.
