DJKQ and others interested

This is a thread from 2+2 about 20 year old who went to Vegas and started posting about his poker and other stories - the bloke is a fantastic writer and very good and improving poker player whose gone from $1/$2 games to playing with well known pros in about 2 years..... it's really good on learning about advanced live poker skills too, although you have to know the basics and language

....a poker story from 2+2 - really good read and well written

Mick, can I remind you that "if you don't know who the sucker is at the poker table after 20 minutes, it's you" :))

Not sure but apparently Quids went all-in with Mr Bones the Butcher but as Mr Ben can be any character it was a split pot.

We played No Limit HE

we had a ?10(or?5?) Turbo Tournament winner takes all for the firs hour or so. Then the 'Main Event' was a ?30 buy in with Rebuys for the first hour (some of us didn't need it others needed a couple *cough MR Ben) and a ?20 add on available after an hour that everyone took. Having a pro-dealer just keeps the pace going nicely no way could we have done that self-dealing etc.

Final table of the WSOP main event (effectively the world championship) is down to final 3 from original 6500, a mate of mine who I play a cash game with in Ireland and is a pro,has 10% of Jake? Who is one of the three- that's a minimum of ?200k for my mate right there. He's flown out to Vegas rail him!

    • Yes..that may be the case but membership STARTING at £115 a month is still unafforable for many. Council gyms also have a large range of equipment and I had a  PT at Dulwich leisure centre when I was in Full Time employment who was incredible and even kept in contact during lockdown giving me a program I could do at home and checking in weekly at no charge or personal gain for herself. I dont doubt that Fit For may be a good gym (Its been in situ long enough so must be doing something right) However the cost of membership means it is affordable for the few not the many. If I could afford that kind of fee I would rather get a train to Canary Wharf and go to Virgin active where theres a pool and incredible classes and facilities
    • This sounds great 👍
    • We found a red TREK bike yesterday that had clearly been stolen and dumped. Would love to reunite it with its owner. Get in touch if you know whose it is.
    • Hey, I am interested. I had started a club last year however everyone slowly dropped off but I am always up for morning runs and some evening runs too.
