chocaholic
I know its not part of East Dulwich, but I wondered if anyone knows what happened at Sydenham Road/ Kirkdale roundabout around 11.30am on Fri 21 Sept?? The area was sealed off by police for ages, resulting in traffic chaos. Think there might have been an RTA??? Vik
I just had a call from my friend who lives that way saying a massive HGV rolled backwards into a pedestrian, dragging her under, apparently her head went under the wheel! :'( Not sure how conclusive this is as we know how these things become chinese whispers:-S Awful if true though, it's all cloesed still apparently. It was most unpleasant indeed - but then again so is the subject of this thread so I don't quite know why one is edited and the other not. karter
She was a young black 29 year old woman just trying to catch the train in time. She was leaving LLoyds bank and somebody I know was exiting the bank at the same time, she held the door for people then crossed the road , the lorry was coming toward her and was not going too fast apparently, the lorry caught her and unfortunately ran over her. Poor girl. Poor family. This is the second incident this year that I know of tall lorries running over people. They should have sensors or something in place to help prevent this. Keef
Poor driver too. A friend of mine was also very close to it at the time, and said the driver had no chance to stop, s/he must feel absolutely awful!
