elsie tea
If you're going to be 5, it has to be a Hello Kitty cake in true picnic style at the Winter Wonderland in Hyde Park. Fingers crossed we don't all freeze... Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-394797 Share on other sites
Applespider
One of the hotels in the West End for afternoon teaIf you have last minute shopping to do, I think Selfridges and John Lewis also do afternoon tea (plus a champagne option) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-394814 Share on other sites

wee quinnie
I'd go to Patisserie Valerie. Mmmmm. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-395023 Share on other sites
Jeremy
Patisserie Valerie is great! Or tea at Ritz/Dorchester/Berkeley/etc if you have the cash. Sketch could also be a good bet at the top end. Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-395031 Share on other sites
ruffers
I'm a big fan of Sketch, although sometimes I find the Cake over stimulates my Shatner's Bassoon ;-) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-395190 Share on other sites

camberwellbeauty
SO after considering all the replies (I thank yew) and checking on-line 'best teas in sarf london' dot com .. i'm afraid too many were out of our price range (you classy lot) plus I had three under tens in tow, so we went to the Mudchute Kitchen on the Isle of Dogs. If you don't already know - you go to Greenwich, through the foot tunnel, through the park, up the slippery slope, cross the stables and all the way there .. and it was shut!! Crapping Crap. Bitter disappointment, so we ended up at the Old Brewery in the Navel Museum in Greenwich. Lovely place, lovely muffins, lovely beer, but not quite what I wanted. Ah well, better laid plans next year. Or maybe a Hummingbird Bakery will open in the old launderette site by the Plough, off the Lane, near the Icleand, etc etc ..Happy Christmas one and all x Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/14956-cake/#findComment-395418 Share on other sites
