Anyone playing Terraria?

Basically 2D minecraft meets diablo (though I'm only playing solo at the mo)

As usual one's own paltry efforts are rubbish compared to everyone else on t'interweb

gone for dark souls, uplink and outlast.

Played outlast for 15 minutes.

Despite the schlock horror clich?d nature of the shock tactics used (telly turns on suddenly with white noise) I jumped out of my skin several times then cowered in a dark corner of a rather blood soaked storage cupboard and whimpered.

Had to stop.

Oh and speaking of things to avoid, Assassins Creed Pirates is kinda fun, but VERY samey. Unless of course the game changes as you progress, but from what I can tell so far it's just sinking ship after ship. At no stage (yet) do you control a character, just the ship.

Sure enough my ?2.99 just bought me episode 1. There are 5 episodes (yet to be released) which will each cost another 2.99 (or you can save 1.50 by ordering the lot).

P!ssed off but they've reeled me in so I've spent the bloody money. If you don't want to spend the money do not even give episode 1 a try, because I defy anyone to get to the end and not want to continue the story.

Annoyed that the whole game has cost me 13.50, bit it does look bloody great, has a good script, cool characters and good story.

Just hope I don't have to wait long for episode 2 having already paid for it!

On the bright side, GTA San Andreas (which I never played) is on ios, so just invested a fiver in that. I've really enjoyed playing GTA3 / Vice City on mobile devices, it works well. As did Max Payne. Mobile gaming is about all I get to do these days, still haven't played anymore GTA 5 on x box for about a month.

yep same here.

On ios I'm mostly playing Avernum, an old skool isometric rpg; a sort of poor mans baldur's gate minus the irritating voice acting.

On android a couple of tower defenses (yeah, US spelling) Kingdom Rush and its sequel Frontiers (both on ios, and about as good as TD gets).

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
    • I've never got Christmas pudding. The only times I've managed to make it vaguely acceptable to people is thus: Buy a really tiny one when it's remaindered in Tesco's. They confound carbon dating, so the yellow labelled stuff at 75% off on Boxing Day will keep you going for years. Chop it up and soak it in Stones Ginger Wine and left over Scotch. Mix it in with a decent vanilla ice cream. It's like a festive Rum 'n' Raisin. Or: Stick a couple in a demijohn of Aldi vodka and serve it to guests, accompanied by 'The Party's Over' by Johnny Mathis when people simply won't leave your flat.
