just got my mastery badge* on the M3 Lee. 5 kills (in 2 teams of 7), 1500 damage in a tier IV V match up, 900 xp

*Means that you earned more xp in a match than 99% of players in the same tank, over a rolling week.

Honestly I feel about this game the way SJ does about dark souls. At least 750 battles probably counts as addiction.

I got the kids a PS3 for minecraft....complete waste of money, they just play on the App (i got Fifa and Assassinns Creed but *meh* just not my idea of fun tooooo old); since we went Mac I can't do Total War, which I really miss...to the extent I might buy a cheap PC laptop). Sooooo just Apps for me

Crime City

Plunder Pirates

Living Dead, I think (Gree)

I've played CC since I got an ipad so am now at nearly level 200 but not spent anything

Hi there,

Anyone know of a good world stragety browser game? Have been playing Illyriad.co.uk for three years and will still do so but need another good one to play. I don't want just a PvP town building, that is you don't get achancr to build anything before 100 other players flatten you. I don't mind a Role playing, again without having to fight monsters every five minutes. I play on a laptop, none of your kindles, Ipads, smartphones or tablets.

Was brought up on letter PBM and atari games so I like to take my time.

Ta very much!

Yeah it does look awesome.

Still stuck in world of tanks blitz. 1015th game, just about to hit 50% win ratio, woo!!

You do spend the first 300 games doing the headless chicken thing though!!

it works very well on my phone too btw

Now it's all finished, I thought this was a good review.

mario & zelda for sure.

Resident Evil was patchy but loved a couple of those early ones, again very fond gaming memories of Tomb Raider, even if they quickly got a bit stale.

The Turok games were another that I really liked back in the mists of time.

Advance Wars on the gameboys were absolute classics!!

Oooh, metroid, both 2D and 3D were excellent

Forgot to mention Command & Conquer... that probably goes straight in as my #1.

Yeah the early fixed-perspective ones were great, but actually I think my favourite incarnation was probably RE4 on the Wii. After that they started to lose their way and strayed too far from the "survival" gameplay.

Don't really want to suggest anything from the 8-bit

I don't know, I played Zelda 2 (Adventure of Link) a couple of years ago and really enjoyed it. But that's probably and exception.

EP how can I have forgotten Metroid? Super Metroid on SNES was amazing, and Metroid Prime also.

I had a Turok game in N64, but don't think I got that in to it.

Mate of mine LOVED Final Fantasy, but the whole turn taking combat just put me off (see also Dragon Age)

yeah never really got the FF series, though liked some of the it's 8 bit brethren, like secret of mana.

and yes old zeldas hold up really well, including some of their polished counterparts on WiiU arcade.

What was the series with snake in? stealth em ups with incomprehensible japanese stylee plots? I quite enjoyed them even if they were very silly.

BTW - I considered myself reasonable good at SF2 back in the day, played in loads on the megadrive, completed a couple of the arcade versions with a single credit. But when I play it now in Four Quarters, I get my butt kicked and struggle to get past three or four levels. Why is this? Do different versions have totally different AI?

    • Their food is lovely, but unfortunately the waiting time for it is sometimes so long, even when they don't seem particularly busy, that we no longer go there. We used to just accept it, but seeing people who came in long after us getting their food before us was the last straw after we had waited well over half an hour, if memory serves. It might have been nearly an hour, but I can't remember exactly, it was a while ago. We paid for our drinks (which had come quite quickly) and went to have lunch elsewhere. We reckoned we would get our food quicker that way. We were very  hungry by this time! It's a shame, because we would like to support them as they are a small local business with great food, but there seems to be some problem on the kitchen side (we were assured that our order had been given to the kitchen as soon as we made it - we asked earlier, as we thought maybe it had been forgotten, but no).
    • This is a bit niche 🤣 I like  Kargs cheese and pumpkin seed crispbread, but it's quite expensive even when it's on offer. So when M&S started their own brand,  I used to buy that sometimes. It was different from Kargs, but ok. Then it disappeared from the shelves for ages. I assumed this was due to the supply problems after M&S  were hacked into. So I was quite pleased recently to see it had returned. But it now tastes revolting (in my opinion). I have no idea what was in it before, as I had no reason to look, but on checking the ingredient list now,  the second after wheat flour  is cornflour (?!), and it's also got palm fat, rapeseed oil, cheese powder and potato starch. And some other stuff. Plus some  actual cheese. I can't find anything online to say the recipe was  changed, so maybe my taste buds have suddenly become more sensitive, but after reading this, I'm appalled M&S are selling this rubbish. Has anyone else noticed any changes? I'm assuming they waited some time so customers would have used up what they had and couldn't make a direct comparison, but that might be a hideous slur (if so, apologies to M&S). Kargs use sunflower oil, and have  none of these other weird ingredients. I shall be gritting my teeth and buying only Kargs from now on. Disclaimer 1 : I don't have any shares in Kargs. I wish I did, I might get a discount! Disclaimer 2:  Yes I have many better things to do with my time than post on here moaning about crispbread, but I am having a tea break (just preempting another attack from those people who haven't got better things to do with THEIR  time than post on here to randomly attack other posters for no apparent reason).
    • There is the Blue Brick Cafe for vegetarian food too.
