Honor Oak overland to Barry road- does anyone know bus route??

depends where you are on Barry Rd really but if Upland Rd is close enough the p4 goes to and from there

The p4 goes nowhere near Barry Rd! Upland rd = south circular / Horniman museum!

The only bus is to walk over the hill to Forest hill tavern. Its been something i tried to get a 63 or 363 extension tio resolve without any success at all.

Take the P4 from Honor Oak.

Get off at either Horniman museum or Woodvale.

Then get the 197 (from same stop), which goes down the whole of Barry Road.

The 63 will take you from Honor Oak station to the Rye (Clocktower) junction of Barry Road.

Annoying the 63 only goes to the Forest Hill Tavern. You could cycle from Brockley or Honor Oak to Barry Road.

or get 197 12 to forest hill station and get on there... will add 30 minutes to your journey tho

better off walking it 20 mins max

Sadly ryedalema the 63 goes nowhere near Honor Oak Station, it terminates at the cemetery gates (feel a Smiths song coming on) just up from Ryedale. The fact it says Honor Oak on is ludicrous as it does not pass into Honor Oak at all, except possibly for a nanosecond as it swings around at the bottom of Wood Vale.

Does anybody know what became of the petition to extend the 63 to go to Honor Oak Park station? Clearly nothing, but why not??

foxtrot You could walk from the station to the cemetery at the corner of Wood Vale (15 mins max) and pick up the 63/363 there, both of which go down the side of the Rye, but there is at present no direct route

Oh I'm sure I've gotten the bus there (HO station) from ours. And that I'd seen something on here celebrating the fact. Sorry - some serious senior/sleep deprived/caffeine deprived moments going on here obv.

If you are on the actual train you would be better getting off at Forest Hill. You could get the 197 to Barry Road then, or get the 176 or 185 and walk to Barry Road from Lordship Lane.
