I have had enough. Its got to stop, I'm completley bored with them all.

I got a masterchef cookery book for a Christmas present, I feigned surprise and looked pleased. I hoped for a sports autobiography at least. Please no more, I have more than enough information to cook with in the 15 books we already have.

Michel Roux's service - I mean who gives a toss about that. Masterchef every night of the week. come on.

Fashions have to end somewhere.

Mick, three motherf***ing football threads on here. I'm sure at least as many people enjoy foodstuffs.

Stupid football. Marvellous foodstuffs. Except that grumpy old food programme last night that kept showing champagne in a martini glass and is therefore retarded.

Also Rosie H , someone said S?millon instead of Sommelier ( freakin' pleb, you know HER ol' lemon face )

Which to some doesn't matter, though if one asked about "the-iff side rule" they'd rightly be met with snorts of derission.

( I too snorted, topped off with a lightly verbalised "huh" )

Anyway mic mac, re-gift that book, its shyte.

(6)Nette.

Ooooo actually mic mac, please list all of your cookbooks.

We'll give you a "room 101" style, binner or winner vote.

I personally hate the Heston Bumenthal "Family Food" book which I have. ( gift ) It takes 6 whole pages to make baked beans, I love beans but jesus.h.christ SIX pages.

Oh & lastly, he's got hair on in the jolly o' family cooking together pictures, again plain wrong, wrong, wrong.

Harrump...(6)Nette.

Wow...32. I think I have nine and one is signed by Rustie Lee......no masterchef book is worthy amongst such classics as the 1970's woman's own cookbook :)) (it has everything in it!). I do bregrudgingly have the first Jamie Oliver. My favourite atm is Rachel Allen's home cooking though.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO, DJKQ, no.

Rachel Allen doesn't touch her meat. I've seen it on the telly. She prods it with 3 foot long tongs. If you don't like food woman, don't fucking tell me how to cook it (that's Rachel Allen incidentally, not you DJKQ).

You've obviously not pounded the mean streets of Peckham recently, innit.

Arf! Yes, you're probably not far from the truth there.

As for Mac. There is an off button, or does the wife commandeer that?

    • OMFG is it possible for the council to do anything without a bunch of armchair experts moaning about it? The library refurb is great news, as it's lovely but completely shagged out - the toilets don't even work reliably. Other libraries in the area will be open longer house during the closure. July is a rubbish time to begin a refurb because it's just before the entire construction sector goes on summer holiday, and it would mean delaying the work another 8 months.

    • Second time Aria has completed a plumbing job for me and both times he’s been polite. Communicative, kept to time and completed the job. He’s very helpful and tidy as well. First job was ball valve in water tank, not easy at all. He and his team were fantastic. This time kitchen tap cylinders replaced and tap tightened.  Much appreciated, Aria thank you.
    • Thought others may be interested to help a local community centre help others.    My bank account offers roundup and it’s been growing all year. As well as treating myself or putting it towards a train ticket to see my family I’ve made a donation to the Albrighton. They can use donations at any time but I hope my donation will go towards the Christmas hampers.    Can you support them so they can provide Christmas hampers?   https://www.justgiving.com/crowdfunding/albrightoncommunityfridge?utm_id=1&utm_term=M22JKQb6W   A donation of £50 will pay for a hamper to feed a family over this Christmas period. A donation of £30 will pay for a hamper to feed someone living on their own over the Christmas period.
