Polly D
Yeah but I couldn't be sure that you lived in ED but if you didn't you wouldn't be here so soz about that. Anyway, sounds like we might be on the same road. Linda and Jerome in one street ... beth
Timonthy Spall regularly dines at the Palmerston where he doesn't seem to get bothered by anyone. And the Wishing Well Inn on Bellenden Road was a key location for the film 'Last Orders'. spymum
I just think he is so COOL!I once saw Terry Jones in Le Chardon a few years back and then I nearly ran over him by Cheners bookstore a few years ago. (Not my fault!! He was jaywalking!). I love the Pythons, and resolved that if he was ever at the end of my car bonnet again I'd flash him to get his attention (a la Denise Van Outen) but he decamped to North London! Someone must have warned him of my plan to get the 'girls' out!spymum(blog: Posh Mum) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/157-films-tv-shot-in-dulwich/page/3/#findComment-2323 Share on other sites
tomM
> I also read somewhere that one of those x-factor> rejects had her video filmed in the EDT. I watched> it and it definitely was but I didn't recognise> her... reckon the EDT is more famous than she is.indeed, Maria Lawson's debut video was recently filmed in the EDT. Watch it at:http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=zlM-oJJFtmAYou can see Cafe Nero and the Number 37 bus! batdog
It is funny to see how some people get excited by the view of Cafe Nero and a Bus.... Maybe they've never left the area. dulwichmum
Dear Ms Polly Dorner,I wonder if you could enlighten me. I am relatively new to all of this wonderful technical jargon - does 'lol' mean 'lots of love' or 'laughing out loud'? My husband James has not come home from the rugby yet, and has sent me a text. I am not sure if he is in trouble with me......Linda Barker lives on Underhill Road, you can spot her house(s) a mile off. Perhaps she made off with a job lot of cream paint from the set of one of her make-over shows. Vickster
Does James Nesbitt still live on Melbourne Grove? Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/157-films-tv-shot-in-dulwich/page/3/#findComment-2367 Share on other sites
spymum
Playground rumour has it that he decamped to a very, very expensive street in Herne Hill - lucky thing!! (Actually luck has nothing to do with it, and hard graft has everything to do with it. That's what my old ma would say, anyway.)spymum(blog: Posh Mum) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/157-films-tv-shot-in-dulwich/page/3/#findComment-2369 Share on other sites
Guest
I read an article last year that had an interview with James Nesbitt (maybe it was even London South) and he specifically said that he relocated to Herne Hill a few years ago, but still liked to visit and eat out in ED, as he still has some friends here. Guest
Perhaps 'Jimmy' would agree to have his face slapped in aid of Comic Relief? Say, ?5 per slap - plus another fiver if it leaves a mark. Ant
Last time I saw him (on the telly) he'd grown a rather large beard. So, to tell whether your slap left a mark or not you'd first have to shave him. But that could also be sponsored. mockney piers
Indeed he chatted up the gf in the Bishop one time, though in fairness I think it was six-of-one-half-a-dozen-of-the-other. Polly D
Mockney - you should have sung him that annoying ditty he sings in one of Yellow Pages' ads - "Life is fine, life is good ... nutty
Feel the need to say I quite like Mr Nesbitt (as an actor anyhow - never met him). Just thought a bit of balance is always good in threads :) Link to comment https://www.eastdulwichforum.co.uk/topic/157-films-tv-shot-in-dulwich/page/3/#findComment-2420 Share on other sites
mockney piers
in all fairness I've nothing against the guy despite the aforementioned incident, and despite a few irksome ads and cold feet, his stuff is pretty good. Bloody Sunday (greengrass' precursor to the thankfully ungungho united 93) was excellent.
