Only Theresa May could actually arrive at "the worst of all worlds"

She surpasses herself :)

If this is true and there are the numbers, then she will have to face a vote of no confidence...

She would win it as there simply aren't enough Brextremists to defeat her, but the much bigger problem she could face is if they then start voting against her in the HoC. Labour have already said that the Chequers deal doesn't pass their tests. The big irony in all this is that the Brextremists are now relying on the EU to reject the deal...

I wish to pay tribute to David Davis. He was a fine man and saved many goals for us Welsh back in the 80s when he was known as Dai. His political career however, did not match his goal keeping.

I'm sure he'll now travel out to Russia to give his much needed advice to the England team and as a Welshman I appreciate that.

there is no principle at stake here except some analogue of a dr. strangelove plan for self preservation and the procreation of the species in their own selfish likeness. No one here has the good of the people of this country at heart. laid bare before us - but will we take note or dismiss is as more theatre and turn our back on further political involvement?

The rats in my shed have more honour than these people

All the wailing and gnashing of teeth from Brexiters is quiet breathtaking. They won the vote to leave the EU and it looks like that's what's going to happen. Still they're not happy. Are there any circumstances at all under which they would be placated I wonder?

For many of them I doubt. The vitriol and hatred on social media is astonishing.

Now, I know that?s Twitter etc, and not to be taken entirely seriously, but I do feel it?s noteworthy how many people see this as a deliberate attempt by May to destroy Brexit.

Personally I think they?re deluding themselves on many levels, but I wouldn?t ignore them. Right now there seems to be a lot of anger; mostly to me it shows just how many people are willing to crash out on a hard Brexit? As well as demonstrating the folly of letting each individual think they can define Brexit.

    • Mal, why is it that, when EA said let's not make this political, your only response is a puerile insult about someone being right wing? On what basis is The Times (in which the late Andrew Norfolk risked everything to expose the story), alarmist? And all the other mainstream newspapers?  This isn't some conspiracy story lurking in a dark corner of the web. Perhaps I know a little about it because my google and AI profiles offer up balanced reportage from respected journalists across the spectrum. I'm curious to know why you dismiss anyone who supports the investigation of police and local authorities who, not only failed to protect vulnerable young women, but actually criminalised them.
