languagelounger> And I'm thinking in 12 hours you could probably learn to knit and produce The Jumper.

You could run a week-long residential The Killing Experience in the Annex. Watch the video, knit the jumper, listen to readings from Kierkegaard, and

experiment with smorgasbord, Danish pastries, herring and Akvavit.

Meanwhile, back on earth, do they still make Arthur Dent dressing gowns?

Yeah but the old jumper was back right at the end of ep 12 and I finally get the importance of it. Without it Lund loses her instinct. She changed for a reverse number and the case went nowhere...even dismissing the clue on Olav's possible involvement. Brings the star jumper back and then things start to move forward again. Lund can't solve a case without it! Makes perfect sense now.

Love this thread.

Love the Killing.

Love the jumper.

But am actually experiencing a small fashion crush on Pernille now too. Also love her wide eyed grief stricken lip twitching.

She has a great kind of jacket and jeans look going on which could be a little bit too Boden on the wrong woman but she manages to make it kind of cool and edgy.

I suddenly realized as I was watching the latest episode on i player (I'm a late devotee and watched all the episodes within 3 evenings, now I'm itching with cold turkey)that I was wearing the same top as Pernille, and I can assure you it was Noah Noah which is a Danish label I believe. Unfortunately it didn't have the same visual effect on me.
Lund wear said jumpers well (I would look like a sack of potatoes), but I do wish she would crack a smile occasionally. I LOVE http://www.messengerfreak.com/emoticons/love/heartwings2.gif the series, but if I were to be her partner I would leave her in Copenhagen - permanently.
Do you think denoument night should be An Event? We could get sponsorship from the Copenhagen tourist board, invite the Danish ambassador, encourage knitwear and maybe get one of the bobble hats to auction for the distressed detectives fund. Or Unicef. Maybe the Mag would host. The bulbs are always blowing in the upstairs room so gloomy enough, and sofas big enough to hide behind. And I think they have served herrings before now.

    • I don’t think i ever wore a badge / not because I didn’t want people to know who I was (I think most people knew) but I hate badges and wearing them  find badges a bit cringe tbh  just ask someone there name - you’re already out socialising and drinking      There wasn’t a lot to it.  Pick a pub that’s likely to have space on the evening - ask the pub can we reserve the tables. Post date and time in here  it did grow to some quite big evenings.  But those early meet-ups were only 5 or 6 people. It grew from there  if it’s a date I can be in London I might try and get along
    • He’s always playing a gig somewhere here and I thought I had read he lived here - I could be wrong on latter point tho
    • There were a number of pubs called "x and firkin".  I recall "font and firkin" in brighton. I think the original was in Lewisham.    I reemember from around 1984. At some point they got taken over by M&B and went through a number of name changes. It was a bit out of area for forum drinks.....  My recollection is most people wore name badges with either their forum name or real name. Some people didnt want to reveal their forum id. I have some floppy disk labels I can donate to the cause!
    • How come? Has he moved down there? I thought he lived in London?
