Myself and a couple of local mums are talking about setting up an 'outdoor playgroup' once a month at the wooden circle in Warwick Gardens. Would anyone be interested in coming? Or indeed in helping to organise things? We were thinking of taking lots of picnic blankets, a box of toys, some flasks of tea, a picnic, some bunting and some babies & toddlers! I've go the go-ahead from the council. We plan to hold the first gathering on Thursday April 14th from 2pm. The idea is to kick things off with a teddy bears picnic, a few songs and a bear-themed story! All welcome!
Thanks for your PM's great to hear there is some interest. Warwick Gardens is at the Peckham end of Bellenden Road - Past Review book shop gates on the left. It's where the wingding is held. It's free and just for fun. Yes i will post nearer the time - just wanted to give a heads up to guage interest.

Hi Andy - lovely message thanks! i tried to contact you all by Facebook to make sure we weren't stepping on Antibes toes (or circle!) it does lend itself to a teddy bears picnic so well! Thanks for the endorsement! Will let you know how it goes.

Hi circle people - I've been up in the loft in search of picnic type blankets. Alas I only found a couple. Could people keep their eyes out at jumble / sales / parents garages etc - it would be nice to have enough to fill the circle. Ta x

Hi folks I've set up a Facebook group for anyone interested in coming along to our new monthly community outdoor playgroup starting on Thursday 14th April in Warwick Gardens. Local mums and babies and toddlers welcome for a teddy bears picnic with songs and a story. I'll pop the details on here too for any non 'bookers. X

    • As I said, it was my understanding. I worded it very carefully. I didn't/don't know for sure, so clearly not a fact. And hardly an "opinion", which is something completely different. You have no idea what reason anybody might have had for not voting for him (unless you can point to some opinion poll results which actually asked people?)
    • Also, just to add, the threat to kill someone's dog and try to kick it, is an additional extremely unpleasant layer. I have noticed a lot of the burst water balloons lying around in the park too- that is not great for the environment either.
    • I’m basing it on the fact that Jeremy Corbyn had repeatedly and on record said he is against mandatory vaccinations in any situation, and he wouldn’t disclose wether he had the Covid vaccine himself    as I said. Not as bad as his brother but very definitely a bit weird about the whole thing. Just say you had the vaccination Jeremy, say that everyone should and stop being weird in the middle of a global pandemic    it’s the same slippery evasive nonsense about Brexit and him. About Putin poisonings and him.     if you are happy with his evasiveness then you do you.  But there is a reason the country wouldn’t get behind him
