It's tempting daizie I know.

But do try to stay positive, the sun is shining today.

Failing that, try drinking a whole bottle of wine in one go.

Dr.Curtain

I can recommend Bergerie de la Bastide vin de pays d'Oc 2009, from the ever wonderful Green & Blue. Cheap and cheerful, and probably available on the NHS by now. 12.5% provides sufficient alcoholic content, without the over-egging of the pudding that a big fat Shiraz is prone to do.

*** EDF Priory guests - an announcement concerning the fine weather ***

While many guests of the EDF Priory may relish the thought of perambulating around the fair lawns of the EDF Priory in this fine weather, the management of the EDF Priory would like to remind guests that certain dangers may await them. In particular, roving reporters are a particular menace at this time of year. They may accost guests at the most unexpected moments, with the oft-heard expression "look into my eyes, look into my eyes". Guests should ensure they always leave the building with their maximum-coverage shades ON in order to avoid any possibility of direct eye contact with the vipers of Fleet Street.

    • Piotr and his team just completed our ensuite and we couldn’t be happier. They were a lovely team to have around and took great care with protection and clean-up every day. Communication was great and there were no nasty surprises with the final invoice despite a few challenges with the room along the way. The standard of work is incredible. We still can’t believe this room is in our house!

    • What has that got to do with their being potentially terrified when loud fireworks are set off? To the best of my knowledge nobody is suggesting the firework noise is actually killing the animals.
    • I run a small tutoring service for children who need extra support in their entrance exams as well as overall academic support for areas that need a little shoring up.   I'm a mother whose son benefitted from coaching to get 3 offers from leading schools.  I personally offer Creative Writing as a specialty and in each exam my son scored top marks for his creative.  If you would like to discuss options, do reach out.  We offer online classes in Maths, English, Creative, Science and Spanish to GCSE.  Many thanks, Kate
